Ordered a takeaway, an hour to arrive although they told me this straight away and a busy Sunday night so no complaints.
The food was mixed but all of an ok quality. Starter was a bit dry. Got 3 complementary popadoms which was a nice touch. Rice was as expected, nan bread too but curry was just lacking a bit of flavor. It was still nice just not quite what I have come to expect. However it was cheap so for the price I am happy.

TWICE FOOD MISSING!!!
The food from here is amazing. We do enjoy the tastes. However we ordered in December a £40+ order, to find a Chicken Korma missing. Doesn’t sound like much, but when you have to call 3 times to get them to understand we do want the food. With the missing Korma to arrive 3 hours after the original delivery arriced.
So tonight, after using Sitar recently, we decide to give IC another go. Again, family sized order, this time a Vegetable Korma is missing. I have called, as before, this time the guy seemed helpful and apologetic. I’m writing this shortly after making the call, so who knows how long it will take to arrive.
They do offer a Refund or Replacement for the missing food both times, but I want the food as that is want is requested at the time of ordering. Anyway, good food, hence the 4*

Preferred take away at 3.30 so plenty of time for the Saturday treat at 7pm first confirm it would be there at 6.30 ??? Ok then a second immediately after for 7pm @ 7.25 we are calling saying that you must of forgot us only to be greeted with it will be another 25 minutes

Indian Cottage is without doubt the best Indian restaurant in Guernsey it offers a fantastic selection of authentic dishes all cooked with passion by excellent chefs. The staff headed by Tony & Joyce are smart and friendly which creates a wonderful atmosphere .I giggle recommend it
