Reviews … We were in town all the way from Missouri, and came across this gem. For drinks, I had the old fashioned, the hunters at midnight and the Actin’ Ugly.

We really liked this place for lunch and are looking forward to going back to enjoy dinner. In fact, I’m sure it’ll be somewhere we visit whenever we’re in the ‘Burg.
It’s a great little spot with a very comfortable look and feel.
The burger and fries were good, the buffalo mac and cheese was good and the service was friendly.
They have a lot of great choices on the menu, it’s definitely a little different than many small local spots.
Give them a try, I think you’ll be glad you did.

The service was amazing! The atmosphere was great! The food had good flavor. The chicken was cold, (below room temp cold) but they made another one and it was hot. I had the cheeky ragu, really good flavor the meat could have been chunkier and not so shredded and the pasta was too hard (and I like my pasta el dente) The Arancini appetizer was really good! Fried perfectly, the flavor was good and the marinade excellent! Oh and the clausmopolitan was delicious, mixed perfectly! I would go back.

They were so compassionate and accommodating to my food allergies! I was reassured that foods would be cooked separately and in separate pans to avoid cross contamination. This is the first time in a long time I’ve felt comfortable going out to eat in my hometown. 10/10 recommend. The food was delicious!

I had also eaten there several times before my food allergies developed. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing and very laid back.

My sister and I dined at The Hunt & The Harvest on Friday, January 16 in the early afternoon on our way to a family trip. She had been following this place for a long time and had wanted to try it for a while. We both figured this would be a great opportunity since we were heading this direction on our way to Georgia.

Tucked into the quaint city of Williamsburg, Kentucky, this establishment had a nice atmosphere, appeared clean, and had good seating with a nice street view. We were greeted promptly by our server and sat at a table. We looked through the menu and the server told us a few items that were out so we went with the following:

Arancini
French Onion Soup
Braised Beef Hoagie and frites
Gnocchi and Meatballs

Aside from the gnocchi and meatball dish, everything looked appetizing. The gnocchi dish looked tossed together a bit messily and the gnocchi itself (described as Parisian to be more delicate in texture) was unfortunately too soft and for lack of better term, gloopy.

Unfortunately, the other dishes, while visually more appealing, did not follow through with flavor or texture. The dishes were quite blandly seasoned with minimal salt.

The arancini had virtually no flavor at all aside from the house marinara that was a bit too far on the sweet side. Great crunch, but it was not hot in the middle.

The french onion soup lacked sufficient cheese and had a burned taste that was far beyond caramelized.

The braised beef hoagie had no seasoning in the meat, and virtually no gravy on it. The pickled onion helped, but just barely. The best part of the dish and the entire meal honestly, were the frites that accompanied the hoagie. They were piping hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned properly.

We were told by our server that the menu was on its way out as it had been there for a good amount of time and the place likes to keep things fresh as ingredients are available. A changing menu was one of the things that drew us here as we thought that would be great quality food, with great flavors and freshness. After asking us how everything was, we informed our server of the issues with the dishes and she offered to have someone come out to talk with us, but we did not choose to do so. We paid, thanked her for her hospitality, and went on our way.

I’m hopeful this was a one time thing and not representative of the place overall as I want to see local places like this succeed. I’m sure we’ll be back to try again, but not any time soon.

Pros – atmosphere, service, cleanliness
Cons – (at least this time) lack of seasoning, presentation of dishes, overall flavor of food.

First time here and have to say, i enjoyed the food.
I had the burger with bison meat and that was delicious. Service was good, server was friendly and didn’t take long for our food to get done. Thankfully this place wasn’t affected by the recent fire on that street so glad to be here and support them. You have to give them a try.

Atmosphere is great, service was exceptional! I had the fried oyster po’ boy. To be fair, the oysters- although fresh and with a golden flakey breading- were eclipsed a bit by one of Chef Nick’s spectacular sauces. My server seemed to really love her job and spoke with enthusiasm about the menu, especially dessert. Good food and true service are rare, so I will definitely be back.

We stopped here on our way through and it’s definitely worth the little drive off the highway. The staff was so loving and kind to our toddler. They were attentive, the food was awesome! The whole place is a vibe. I HIGHLY recommend.

Nick and his staff have created a welcoming atmosphere and food/service was 10/10. I had the cheeky grill cheese, Mac and cheese (Carls way), and side salad. Everything was on point.

This is such a gem in Williamsburg. The service was great, the drinks were delicious, the food was good…. except they put cilantro as a garnish on everything we ordered. I hate cilantro and will always ask to keep it off a meal, if its listed. The mussels frites I ordered had literally an ungodly amount of cilantro on top… which was not mentioned on the menu. The fondue had cilantro on top, the cornbread had cilantro on top. Cilantro is not a garnish. Once, I picked it all off… everything was great.
