We are a seasonal drive in restaurant with an emphasis on local fresh seafood. We are famous for our fried clams and hand cut onion rings. We have been family owned and operated for forty years. Some days there are three generations of our family working side by side.

First time stopping in here today, should of just stopped by hannafords and made lunch. Fries were good, tenders were tough and shrimp was previously frozen or something and just gross. End of the year but I didn’t know that mattered with quality of seafood. I didn’t read anywhere it was fresh but assumed due to reviews.. maybe a sandwich would of been a better pick, probably won’t find out.

WOW! This is some of the best (if not THE best) fried seafood I have ever had. The quality of the seafood itself is fresh and full of flavor, and the battering is just lovely… Fried to a perfect color. Even the fries, which are on the darker side, were absolutely delicious; perfect crunchy shell around a soft interior.
Service was also great, even on a busier evening. I was able to peer into the kitchen while I waited for my food, and I have to compliment how clean and organized they keep it in there! Highly recommend.

2024 Update: still a five star experience! Lobster roll was simply lots of meat and the whole belly clams are delicious. Not greasy. Also they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday and they close between 3-4 p.m. There is nothing on the web indicating that.

Huge portions and very fresh, even the tenders were handmade. We got a 2 way plate,fried pickles,and a chicken finger and honestly,the 2 way plate would have been plenty enough for 2. Service was very quick and polite. Be hungry when you come,you are gonna need it!

Cute little cash only place. Very busy because the foods great! All of the staff was very friendly. We got clam strips, onion rings, fries and a burger. ALL delicious. Ate across the road at the water, but there were plenty of indoor and outdoor tables on location.

I purchased clam strips with fries and a small coke. They give you alot, enough for two people or one fat guy like me. Cost 22 bucks because they charged me an extra buck for an additional tarta sauce which is definitely needed. This place is cheaper and just as good as the fish shacks in Kennebunk Maine. Line is always long, but it goes quick. Whole transaction took maybe 20 minutes. BTW the whole belly clam boat looked really good too.

I have traveled up and down the east coast and have had my fair share of fried clams from many restaurants and clam shacks alone the way. When I was young, digging for clams was one the most enjoyable adventures I had growing up at Hampton Beach NH so take it from someone who knows his clams. Pops is without question the best fried clams I have every had the pleasure to consume.
The batter is light and airy like nothing I have ever experienced with very little seasoning. I quite honestly don’t know how they do it. But the bottom line is visit Pop’s and you’ll not regret it!!
