This place was not what I hoped for, and I really wanted to find a good local hotdog spot.

First off, I get that it has “dispensary” in its name, but as soon as you get out of the car you smell pot. Having my three little sons with me, it bothered me. I brushed it off because I was still hoping for a really good hotdog based on what people had told me. We walked in and not one employee was inside—they were all on the porch smoking. I probably should have walked out right then.

I’m not the type of person who sends food back or asks for a remake once it’s served. I just don’t trust kitchens or people once the food leaves the line. I planned to complain while I was there, but after reading other reviews saying they only offer exchanges, I figured, why bother.

With all that said, the hotdogs honestly reminded me of 7/11. I ordered the chili dog and the Chicago dog, which are my go-tos. The chili dog was warm at best and had zero flavor; the chili tasted canned even though I was told it’s homemade. The Chicago dog had a very hard bun, and the only good thing about it was the pickle. I ended up throwing half of it away.

My son ordered the hotdog nachos, and he said they smelled weird and tasted funny—he took maybe two bites. I smelled it myself and pushed it away. My other son also had a chili dog, and he didn’t finish it because he had to load it with mayo and other stuff just to get some flavor. My third son got the pizza dog; he said it was good, but I noticed he didn’t finish it either.

Also, $2.50 for a can of soda is crazy.

In total, I spent nearly $57 for five hotdogs and four cans of soda and walked out regretting it. I should’ve just gone to Chili’s like the boys asked, but I really wanted to give this place a try and had high hopes. Sadly, we will not be returning.

My brother and I were in town for our mother’s memorial. My older brother and wife brought us here to experience the greatness. Best hotdogs I’ve had in a long time! Great staff and creative menu. Being from Colorado it definitely felt like home.

This was a 5-star experience all around. The food was incredible. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the waffled corn dog. Both were just delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I would go back again in a heart beat.

Arrived for lunch and ordered a chili cheese dog and a Chicago dog. Both had their pros and cons.

They use Hebrew National hotdogs, which are of satisfactory quality, the cheddar cheese they use is good quality and melted nicely, and the chili was great, very meaty! My biggest issue with it is that they made it first, and it literally sat behind the counter for 5 minutes while the guy dressed my Chicago dog. By the time I sat down to eat, the chili had totally soggied my bun, and when I took my first bite, the bottom of the bun gave out and the dog fell through. The broken bun made the eating experience of the whole dog messy and difficult. I would love to try a fresh one where the bun wasn’t ruined by the chili.

I was impressed that they got the Chicago dog right, from the poppy seed bun down to the celery salt, but my issue is with the fact that they didn’t steam the bun and one side of the bun was fairly hard (like it had been sitting out and wasn’t fresh).

There is very limited indoor seating, and the outdoor seating can be quite warm in the summer. Also, the entrance to their parking lot is pretty chewed up, so be careful if your car sits low to the ground.

Overall, I can tell they are making an attempt to make high quality hot dogs, but the execution and venue left it feeling like a pretty average experience for me overall.

I’ve been here several times since they opened, but today I came specifically for the Swamp Dog. 1/4 lb dog topped with lightly blackened gator and house made remoulade. Usually something this Floridian ends up in the news for all the wrong reasons, but not this time…

The picture doesn’t do this justice, I got excited and immediately cut a big piece before remembering to wipe the delicious remoulade off my hands and pick up the phone.

Definitely recommend!

The hot dog Was good except the bun taste like soap ! And it was a little hard . The guy at the counter was so weird he gave big weird vibes. He Wasn’t welcoming at all !! I almost left . But the toppings were great I ordered the Chicago dog ! Love all the variety’s of hot sauce . I was excited because it’s close to my house I’d prob be back if they change the buns and the guy at the register!
