I get it as as they are trying to not give much meat, but people won’t value for the money that they are paying that keeps customers coming back, skipping customers out on food you don’t get them to return back
I came in for the lunch special.
It was more rice than chicken and it was a lot of fried pieces it also didn’t have the broccoli like usual restaurants
I wanted my serving of veggies and a slightly bigger portion that’s why the rating.
When the food arrived, it looked great right out of the container and had a pleasant, fresh aroma. I wanted to be cautious after reading a few concerning older reviews about food poisoning, so I waited a full 24 hours before posting this. I’m happy to report that everything turned out fine, no issues at all.
As for the taste: the flavors were definitely there. I’ve read comments about the food being greasy or oily, but honestly, that’s pretty typical of many Chinese takeout places. In this case, the chicken was tasty, and while it was a bit oily, it didn’t bother me—it still hit the spot. The presentation was better than expected, and the portions were good.
Prices are on the higher side, but that seems to be the norm lately. Overall, I found the service friendly and the food enjoyable. If you’re looking for decent, classic Chinese takeout with good flavor and don’t mind a bit of oiliness, give this place a try. It’s not nearly as bad as some of the older reviews suggest. I’m glad I took the chance.
I immediately called the business as it’s not up to their usual standard. Explained exactly what I mentioned above and they said “tell DoorDash we can’t give you your money back or do anything for you.” I said “as a food business you should know when your food isn’t up to your normal standard” they said with an attitude “I mean if you bring it back we can remake it but your concern should go to DoorDash not us” to which I said “I’m not able to do that right now and you should know issues as these considered you’re the restaurant responsible for making the food” the response was an abrupt and curt “sorry.”
China Dragon has always been my go to but not anymore since receiving old food.
Highly recommended.
