If you’re in Montpelier or just passing by, if you want a delicious and nutritious meal with good vibes, stop at The Hippie Chickpea. We had 4 in our party and each ordered something different and were all impressed with the quality, the portion and the outside seating to enjoy the nice summer day. Extra happy as the solo vegan that I had more than one option but my goddess salad with added falafel was absolutely delicious!

Excellent spot in Montpelier for healthy and delicious middle eastern food. I ordered the vegan gyro and an iced hibiscus tea and it took about 12 minutes for my food to make it to the table after ordering but that was during peak lunch hour with the restaurant at almost full capacity. I was impressed with the fast service and the quality of the ingredients of my wrap. The gyro had a tangy and crisp sauce and a fantastic blend of vegetables with a texture that felt like a traditional hot gyro wrap. The restaurant itself was a great atmosphere with relaxing music and really cool art. There were a lot of specials available to order and they had tea and stronger drinks on the menu. If you are in Montpelier and appreciate middle eastern food – or even just healthy food for a great price stop by the Hippie Chickpea!!

Stopped in here on a random Monday on our way back to Boston. We ordered a falafel sandwich, a chicken gyro, and we split the roasted cauliflower. It was some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in my life. It was so fresh and delicious. Definitely a great casual lunch spot to hit up.

We came here for dinner while visiting Montpellier. The service is excellent and they went out of their way to ensure my allergy was taken care of. I had the falafel wrap with GF pita, roasted cauliflower and hibiscus tea. My husband got the gyro. All the food was delicious. We sat outside and looked out over the water on the lovely outdoor deck.
