A great experiences. Very friendly staff. I had a prime rib sandwich and wife had a burger. Both excellent. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. This was out 2nd lunch there. Can’t wait to try dinner. Everything sounded delicious!

This place is very hit or miss. I have held 2 company dinners at the location. The first was for a party of 12 ordering off the menu we had a pleasant experience with above average food and good service. The most recent experience however left a lot to be desired. I scheduled for a party of 18. I was asked at the time of the reservation (2 weeks in advance) if we wanted buffet style or order from the menu and I advised we would order from the menu. When we arrived I was informed that our dinner menu was Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and biscuits. I am not certain who thinks it’s appropriate to select a menu without consulting with the customer but at this point I really don’t have another option to feed 18 people so there is not much more we can do. We proceed to be served chicken that was so dry several people had to ask for gravy to cover it in an attempt to even be able to swallow it. Very disappointed, I would not recommend for large parties. With the WCH area being very limited in dining options for company events I would advise if you need to book this restaurant that you make it very clear about your menu choice and steer clear of the chicken.

The Highland House hosted our 50th wedding anniversary last night and it was done excellently. The meal was served in buffet style offering a choice of baked steak or pulled pork along with a bakes potato and corn casserole. The broccoli salad was outstanding. The nearly 100 guests were through the line in less than 15 minutes which is a credit to the organization of Janelle the manager and event planner. We could not be more pleased.
