I’ve never wanted to give more than 5 stars in my life… this place is phenomenal! The service lady was very friendly all 3 times we came. The food was exceptional beyond expectation. The food is very tasty, portioned very fair, priced fair, and even looks perfect. We tried all of their skillets throughout our 5 day camping trip in payette-ontario area. We even tried an omelette which was very good.
The environment is pretty cool and relaxing.. not too loud.
My family and I used to go to a place called grandma’s kitchen back when they started up but they are no longer there and we told the waitress about it and she explained how they are owned by the same family and stuff which is really cool. She explained the name idea for the restaurant to me. I was thinking the hideaway was named that because back in the day the old cowboys would hide away from the law and the ladies here would feed them. However the name is called the hideaway because it’s tucked away in the back of the parking lot. It’s hard to miss but you don’t want to miss it.. get on in there and try it out!!

We have been frequent dinner go-ers the last 6 months. Every time we have gone, the food has been excellent. They have the best soups! Their bang bang shrimp is a must-have. Here, we ordered the Hideaway burger which has the yummy honey bourbon sauce on it. French onion soup is always a go-to also. And it’s the first time we tried the Hot spinach jalapeños bacon dip – omg sooo good and the baguettes that come with are Ahhhmazing! The two dinner servers are THE sweetest and so attentive. My iced tea and waters are never empty.

I had the 2 pork chops and loaded baked potato plate. The pork chops were almost as amazing as the green beans. The entire meal was fantastic. The staff is also extremely friendly. It’s a great mom & pop restaurant.

This place was amazing! First, the breakfast was delicious and fairly priced (something that is always appreciated). Second, I left my phone here before traveling North and had to make a 3-hour trip back to retrieve it. The owner Erica was kind enough to hold on to my phone after the place closed and even allowed me to come pick it up at her house. I even got to meet her family and have a brief, friendly chat which was a very rewarding experience.
Their dedication to their customers and the quality of their food is second to none. Definitely come here if you’re in the area.

Read the reviews and was excited to try this place. Ordered the ribeye steak. When you open the menu they have a testimonial about the quality of meat they prepare. I knew I was in trouble when I tried the spinach salad. Wayyyyyy too much sauce and nothing but spinach. I paid 30 dollars for a steak, I was expecting quality, I was severely disappointed. When the steak came out it looked like someone sat on it and it came included with a ton of butter on top. One positive note the server was very nice and attentive. I left the restaurant $80 dollars poorer and feeling sick to my stomach. I’m not one to give up easily so I gave them another shot the next morning. Ordered a breakfast burrito. The burrito was a combo of mush and grease. I will not eat here again, try at your own risk.

The food here is homey yet creative and delicious. I’ve tried a wide variety of their reasonably priced food and everything is great. I’ll drive all the way from Nyssa to get food there. And the service is not just great but welcoming. I’m a shy person and was made to feel so at home. It’s a wonderful business.

My husband and I were so lucky to stumble on to this diner. The service was excellent and the food was great. I had a Cuban burger. It was unique take on the traditional Cuban sandwich and I really enjoyed it. The restaurant was very clean. We had really great lunch at a very reasonable price.

We brought my nephew to Hideaway Grill for his birthday dinner! They had steaks cooked to order and I had a hamburger steak well done. It was well done… and it was melt in ur mouth tender and delicious. The mushrooms and onions and gravy are top notch! Grilled to perfection! So yummy!
Service is ALWAYS awesome here. We were welcomed with warm smiles and seated quickly. (They had a medical emergency while seating us as well. They were very professional and caring.) U will NOT BE SORRY if u choose to dine here. Alone, as a couple or with the family. Check them out!
