Food is our love language. We hope our plates bring you comfort and conversation around the table and our coffee keeps you going. Join us for breakfast, brunch, or lunch while the little ones play in our designated play area. Went there for breakfast. It’s smaller than expected. The food was really good. The coffee was good. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. I was skeptical when entering because of the size but they food was fresh made and pretty quick. I would go back for sure. There is a big room with a play area for small children. They were short on some items I wanted to try so hopefully that’s remedied and we can return to try those as well. All in all it was pleasant experience.

I have eaten here 3 times so far and each time I have loved the food, service, cleanliness, etc. Very fresh food that is yummy and tasty! Patio options and kids play area. Very thankful for such an amazing spot!

Met a friend there today and it was really good. Absolutely love the atmosphere. The cashier was so sweet and very engaging. She answered all our questions with a smile on her face. We couldn’t decide what to get so she got the grits and I got the breakfast potatoes and we split with each other. The servings were very generous. I had a cappuccino. It was delicious. Before we knew it….3 hours had passed. Enjoy our visit very much!

Yesterday, we hosted my daughter’s bridal shower here. She lives in Texas and we had friends and relatives coming from Mississippi and Lafayette as well, so this location was truly “Central” for that group of people. That’s why I chose it. But let me tell you… The location may have brought me, but the venue itself and the staff will bring me back. I was able to tell ladies with small children to bring them because of the play area. The store is in a beautiful little area with plenty of parking. We were able to choose between bringing our own treats or having them cater the event. The beautiful furnishings made decorating much easier. The whole store was spotless, uncluttered, and tastefully decorated. The play area was clean and the play items were well cared for. The two ladies we worked with (whose names I didn’t get ) were sweet and kind and cared about our experience. I was able to run a tab for all my guests to just order whatever coffee drinks they wanted and I was pleasantly surprised that it was less than a hundred dollars for all those drinks at the end. It was the perfect venue. Oh, and there was literally NO traffic since we avoided greater Baton Rouge.

Java Mama at Central Square is nothing short of AMAZING! I recently booked my daughter’s 1st birthday party there after hours and let me tell you – they went above and beyond anything I could have expected! They made hosting so easy, totally helped me decorate and even had suggestions on where we should hang banners, etc. They brought my vision to life and it looked even better than I imagined!
