Everything was amazing. My son had a deer burger and fries. I had a polish bowl. The dessert was so good… I believe it was a banana cookie dough pie

Food was fantastic! Specialty Kentucky Dog was a high quality dog with a bourbon topping that was so good! Ruben was so flavorful with homemade marble rye bread…fries were crispy and tasty. Bison Burger special was a juicy, lean and had alot of depth in flavor. Brussels were so good and crispy!
Kristin was our server and she was great. Glad we stopped and hope to visit again! It was a must in the Beaver Falls/Monaca/Rochester area!

Love everything about The Grumpy Beaver!! Lots of seating options: in the bar, in the dining room, outside AND the menu has something for everyone!!!

Yes, service might be a little slow, but it’s worth the wait AND the portions are HUGE (no lie, check out the pictures). The food tastes like it was made to order!!

We started with the Roasted Red Pepper Soup. So flavorful and fresh, and the two large bread croutons that came with it were nice and buttery!! My husband debated between the appetizer meatballs, the entree meatballs and the meatball hoagie. He settled on the hoagie because it came with potato salad. We were SHOCKED when his hoagie arrived (see pictures) because it was GINORMOUS!! My choice was the Polish Bowl because I love everything in it: pierogis, sauerkraut, kielbasa, bacon and butter (sour cream was extra and worth it).

Needless to say we both could only eat half, so leftovers for later this week are perfect!!

We will be back next time we are “home” and look forward to trying other menu items!!

Drinks and appetizers on a Sunday Night! Stopped in for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Sampled several appetizers, and had a few drinks (Yuengling, a mixed drink and a children’s beverage). A very good price for the quantity and quality of food, in a great setting. Would definitely recommend. Thanks!

I had been here years ago when it was known as “1810 Tavern” which I was a huge fan of. I understand there is a speakeasy inside the Grumpy Beaver, which I really want to come back and check out.

The dining room was nice and cozy.

We started out with a side wedge salad. Which was a 1/4 head of lettuce and was totally disassembled. The ranch was nice and thick and the ingredients were fresh. We also had a meatball appetizer which was delicious. Very seasoned, but not bad. The Meatballs were fresh, not frozen and the marinara was good.

For entrees, we ordered the pretzel crusted chicken and the Cheese steak.
The chicken was served with asparagus and rice pilaf. The rice was very average. The asparagus was cooked well – not overcooked, The chicken almost had the consistency of pork and I felt the pretzel flavor was light.

The cheese steak was a generous portion. Great flavor. I just feel the bread should have been lightly toasted. I was personally not a fan of the potato salad. It was served cold and a vinegar base with pickled vegetables. tried it, just not for me.

We had a raspberry doughnut cheesecake for dessert. It was very sweet punctuated by a raspberry tart finish which was needed.

The service also went downhill as the night went on. I had to ask for a second glass of water twice before I got it and the neighboring table was checked on 3 times for every 1 that we were visited.

Food was delicious and the service was amazing. Don’t mind the photo of the ahi tuna app, it was so good we ate most of it before I took the photo! There was also live entertainment when we went, definitely coming back!

This was my third visit to The Grumpy Beaver, and for the third time, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is absolutely incredible. A special shoutout to Netta, the bartender—she was so friendly and accommodating and really made the experience even better. I will definitely be returning

Swung by this place on whim with a friend. The Grumpy Cheese Steak was good. This is a huge sandwich so if you have a massive appetite then you must get this sandwich! The meat and cheese was very flavorful. The bun was good but nothing great…..seamed a tiny bit on the dry side. I’ll definitely go back when I’m in the neighborhood.

My friend and I visited on a Saturday night on a whim. It was packed, they had some sort of band in the bar area, but we were seated in the dining room. I had the Corleone Sandwich, a choice of potato salad or fries… I went with the fries. It was amazing! Order it for dinner and lunch the next day! It was the perfect ratio of meat to bread. Fries were standard thick cut.
My friend ordered the pierogi bowl. It had sausage, pierogi, and sauerkraut. She gave it two thumbs up.
The menu has a wide selection, and I think the prices are fair. If you are a local, you probably know this location has been home to quite a few restaurants, and not one of them made it long. I think The Grumpy Beaver is here to stay!
