Just a nice little local business. They make my wife’s favorite salad, I can grab a slice of pizza, and they have a respectable liquor selection. If they do not have the liquor you want, then they place an order with their distributor to get you taken care of. Glad to have them in our quaint village.

I really wanted to give it 5 stars but my sandwich was not delicious. Hubby and I are home for the holidays and the store is located steps away from dad-in-law’s door. We ordered 2 sandwiches; The Architect and Bacon Got Back. The Architect was stacked high, well made, and delicious. (It looked exactly like the photos) Bacon Got Back however, was not. Four strips of precooked bacon (the type you can purchase), wilted, brown lettuce, a single slice of muenster, and too much mayo with peppercorns tossed in slathered on what looked and tasted like stale wheat bread. Not homestyle oat nut bread. We’ve eaten there under both owners in the past and found the food tasty and satisfying. I plan to give it another shot while we’re home, but this time was really disappointing.

This place has new owners now. It used to be Mitchell’s now it’s VanEffen’s. A lot of the same stuff but I will say the service is well beyond what it used to be. Lot of the same food. There’s new food. They have pizza balls now which are outstanding if you happen to be one lucky ones to get one when they are here. The owner was actually here working which was nice to see. We had the architect sandwich #7 and we tried a firecracker which was good and a pepperoni pizza ball which was

I recently moved to the area and have heard nothing but good about both Mitchell’s locations. I decided I should finally check them out and I’m glad I did. I got ‘The Architect’ sandwich and it was superb. I can tell they use high quality ingredients and that mayo really set it off. I’m excited to go back and check out the other sandwiches and the variety of Michigan made products that they have in stock.

Stopped in a pinch for lunch they have really lost touch with the new owners, 13 dollars for a couple pieces of pizza that were very old and hard. I honestly don’t know how they are making it other than the previous owners making such a great name for them!!

I was craving pizza and knew I didn’t want chain pizza. I decided to order here for the first time and wow. Everything was fantastic. The “plain” breadsticks are loaded with Parmesan and so fluffy. (YUM!) The pizza was cooked perfectly and had lots of toppings. Lastly, the ranch. I really do judge a place by their ranch and theirs is a 10/10. Workers were super nice as well. Will definitely return!!
