We had the Friday fish fry – I had the perch and a baked potato and my husband had the cod with fries. It was all delicious! The fries were hand cut and so good. The fish was perfect. We were impressed with the service and speed. We’ll be back!

Swinging through Portage. Heard about this excellent tavern with awesome food. Greeted friendly upon entering. Offered seating right away even though busy. Drink orders carne to the table quickly. Menu was fantastic. I had the Philly cheese steak. Wife had classic steak sandwich. Absolutely excellent. Solid portions. Reasonably priced! Owner and chef, Ryan, visited table to check on us. This place rocks! Will definitely be back soon! Thanks for loving up to your name!

Excellent fish and a good portion in sides. They only give two corn fritters instead of four and they were good but small. Also, they didn’t tell me there was an up charge of a $1 for the ranch potatoes that didn’t taste like ranch. They weren’t very friendly had to try to get two people’s attention and they weren’t busy at the time. I will definitely try the food again. Everyone has an off day right?

We went for an early dinner. The space wasn’t crowded and was quite clean. The staff checked on us regularly and was very friendly. The hand-cut fries weren’t greasy, nor over salted. The burgers were grilled well and tasted good.

A Real Wisconsin fish fry without the millennial fluff and prices… Sorry just sick of the big venues that make you feel good with Live music , Over reviewed and overrated food and then call themselves a real Wisconsin fish fry..
