This is my 4th David Burke restaurant experience and am not disappointed. My husband and I came for a date night. Loved the ambiance, impeccable service. We ordered the lobster dumplings to share, they were okay, was hoping for a bit more flavor from the presentation. Looked very colorful but was more on the bland side. I had Dragon Roll as an entree, he, the salmon with pea risotto. Very good! We also ordered a bottle of sparkling rosé which it took our waitress at least 10 minutes to open. It was listed under bubbly but wasn’t sparkling at all- which made me think maybe the cork dried out too much which is why it was hard to open but I’m no expert. The only thing I would ask them to consider is the restaurant temperature. It was fairly warm and a few flying friends kept visiting our table.

I really wanted to have a five star experience here because I am in love with David Burke, and what he has done to for the service industry, his commitment to the community, and his endless dining options here in the NJ/NY area.

Nice work dinner as I was traveling through Jersey last week with some colleagues. Food was great, the sushi, some of the best I have had. Service was slightly slow, but we did have a party of 12 so maybe that was why. Very cute polished atmosphere and nice interior and vibe. Overall great experience and I would dine there again.

I have been to several David Burke restaurants and this, at first does not feel like one of his establishments. The space is very dark and the service wasn’t bad, but was not as exceptional as Asbury Kitchen, Orange Lawn, Orchard Park, Red Horse or Drifthouse. Since this restaurant has been here prior to the rebranding, it seems likely that the only thing that changed were the signs and menu.

Honestly when i looked up places to go to for dinner the menu looked amazing so we gave it a chance. Probably one of the worst dining experiences i had in a longgggggg time. It all started out great, the waitress came (who did a great job, we have no issues with the waitress) Took our drink orders. The drinks were good, not great we got margaritas, hard to mess up one of those. Then we finally ordered our food which felt like it toook forever to get our order in. The waitress was super busy. We sat at 7:45pm. We didn’t get our food until past 9:30pm. Which is unacceptable in my opinion. Most of our food was cold or dry. I asked for a medium well burger. IT WAS RARE. Literally didn’t even look like they cooked it at allllll. I was so hungry and didn’t want to wait so i was like whatever. The food was garbage, and for a david burke restaurant you expect way better then what we got. Never coming back, and i honestly suggest you not go there either it was a waste. I should of went to shake shack or something.

It was our anniversary. Staff was friendly. We ordered seaweed salad, cheesy popovers, salmon tartar, Caesar wedges, lobster dumpling, cocktails were delicious (margarita & old fashion) but took awhile to get. Service was not to par. Not busy on Tue night. We never received a bottle of sake we asked with our 2 halibuts (best fish in along time we tried). We waited for dessert for 25 min. & had to leave. Things happen but no communication was provided. We were disappointed and went to Kings for dessert. Waiter did not check in if food was okay. Asked for soy sauce which took 5 min and it was 1 ft away from our table. We felt disrespected of our time 🙁

With David Burke as the new head chef, I had high hopes for the Fox & Falcon. It was disappointing, to say the least. The interior is pretty much the same as before (Fox & Falcon and Ricaltons) but the attention to detail that you would expect at a 5-star restaurant is missing by a long shot. For instance, my friend immediately pointed out a light fixture that was broken from months before, so not a good first impression.

I have been going to the Fox and Falcon since it opened a few years ago. I have known the owner, David, from his prior restaurants in Jersey City and NYC that I used to frequent often. We love going to Fox and Falcon and the food is always superb. It has an atmosphere for everyone — form the rustic dining room to the cozy Irish pub in the basement. We spent a lot of time here including during the pandemic when they had the outside seating, tents and heaters. Every time has been a great experience. The food is absolutely incredible and I love that they have some local ciders on the menu! This place is good to bring children as well! Looking forward to many more meals at The Fox + Falcon!
