Mixed review of food, only a 3 because we tried many things. The crepes are a 5 star, sweet and savory both options were very good. Everything else is bland, overcooked and borderline lousy, especially potatoes. The drinks were great, they have a Tommy pickles that I loved and make a really good Bloody Mary . The coffee is NOT GOOD AT ALL. Tried a few different options and just no good.

We came here with the family for brunch the food and service was excellent that we decided to return before catching the ferry back home on our last day. This place was the best crepe I have had in a long time. For brunch I had a salad and it was also wonderful!

Highly recommend The Forge. The Berry Cheesecake crepe as seen in the photo is phenomenal. Brunch, lunch & dinner here has never disappointed! The bacon wrapped dates are my favorite appetizer, savory & sweet all in one. The 452 which is a burrata sandwich on a baguette is one of my favorite things to eat on the island, it’s a must try. The staff is super friendly & accommodating to all needs. Definitely check out The Forge any time of day for a great experience!

We visited this place for breakfast and we had an excellent experience. Though the service took a little time I would surely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. Wait time was around 20-30 mins. I recommend crepe’s, waffles and coffee. They have a parking space nearby.

Incredible atmosphere here! Wanted to eat at a place that was more low-key and offered different options than the usual fried seafood tiki bar establishments. My husband and I got the fried brussels sprouts app with honey, bacon and parm to share; best brussels I’ve ever had in my life and highly recommend! Husband got the CGB crepe and I got the caprese, both were great. Balsamic reduction on the caprese was chef’s kiss. Shared the Commodore Berry crepe dessert- so good! Crepes are flavorful and loved the presentation of the food. Service was excellent, our waiter was Bill. If we are ever back in PIB, we will definitely come back!!

I rarely give 5 stars. But right now (Summer 2023) I think The Forge may be the best restaurant on South Bass Island. They reopened just this year after a flood two years ago. They have a quite imaginative menu that specializes in both sweet and savory crepes stuffed with all sorts of things. Their bar service, both inside and outside, is excellent. I love their outdoor bar, and Steak Night on Mondays is very very good and at a good price. I usually go on off days so I don’t know if they actually take reservations. They have both indoor and outdoor dining service, and on busy weekend evenings there will be a wait. Prices are comparable to other venues on the Island, so I encourage all visitors to check out The Forge during your visit.

This and The Goat are the best places to eat at PIB. The outdoor bar and area is lovely on a good weather day. The drinks are great and everything I’ve tried from crepes to entrees have always been delicious.
