Oh, and I was wanting to try their Shrimp & Grits – which I did. They did not disappoint! I left pleased, satisfied, full and happy.
I had the Florida Sunshine Waffle Breakfast with grits and Beyond Sausage (vs the chicken sage sausage that is typically served). The food came out quickly, hot and tasted good. Really loved the biscuit (btw).
The atmosphere is diner-like. People there to have a comfort food breakfast or brunch and a good time. There is a steady ambient hum of conversations going on, but you can still talk comfortably with your company.
Overall, definitely a place we will frequent.
Our book club met up at The Flying Biscuit Café for brunch. The place is bright, colorful, and full of good vibes. Parking was a little tough to find, but once inside there was no wait and our food came out hot and fresh. The presentation was beautiful, but the flavor didn’t quite match the look. Everything just needed a little more seasoning and personality. Great service and atmosphere, but probably not a spot we’d return to.
