Social Profile:

Serving reinvented comfortable classics with a fresh new twist. Pull up to our spectacular bar for a fun fabulous cocktail. Come in and try our local Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned. Executive Chef Blake Schar pushes creativity in Door County. Chef Schar is strong, solid and on-point with homey, classic comfort foods, showing favor to those warm dishes that Mom use to make. Although he is not shy to admit his bias for butter and bacon, don’t let the Midwest in him fool you. Chef Schar pulls on his formal training from Scottsdale Culinary Institute, searching for ways to incorporate Southwest flavors like chipotle peppers, cilantro, cumin, and ancho peppers without taking the bold flavors too far. Watch for formal elegance in his food.

Warm, wood-clad eatery serving an array of Cajun seafood & meat plates alongside wine & cocktails.

We were seated in the pub which was fine. The service was great. I had the calamari that was decent but not the best. I did have a great peal and eat shrimp dish that we very flavorful. I also had the fried cheesecake which was amazing!! My husband had their burger which he thought was blah with little flavor. The old fashioned was good but I had better the day before. It was s decent meal.

Hands down some of the very best food we have ever had. It’s like comfort food taken to a level of perfection. The Shrimp and grits, chicken Florentine, and the featured prime rib po’ boy was to die for! Service was incredible as well! We most definitely will be back I don’t care how far of a drive it is! The food and hospitality is worth it!

I had to take off one star as soon as we walked in the door since we were immediately exiled into the pub because we had 3 small children. The other star was because of the slow service and somewhat forgetful. If this review was solely on food, I would give this chef and kitchen staff 5 stars. The food was fantastic! I never would have thought I would eat camel, but it was great! My wife’s chicken Florentine was also very good. I would definitely recommend the food but if you have kids skip unless you want to be put in the rejected customer room.

I read through a lot of stuff on door county before selecting The Fireside tonight. It seems to be and is one of the best restaurants in the area. Everything we tried was delicious. The Creole flair adds a bit to the dishes but I wouldn’t say it’s the centerpiece. I’d come back.

My wife and I decided to check this place out as it said New Orleans style and we love some Southern cooking! Rosie our amazing server helped us quickly find drinks and some delightful specials! But the one that really got me was when she said Camel, yes Camel, with Grits and green beans! We always try exotic meats, having had bison, kangaroo and ostrich before, but Camel here was the better than most steaks I have had! The empenada appy and key lime dessert were perfect way to round it out. Can’t wait to go back!

Really good and flavorful jambalaya, with a lot of chicken, sausages, and shrimp. The fried cheesecake was also quite interesting. My friends and I tried a variety of dishes, and they seemed to like their food.

We enjoyed a quick trip to Door County, WI, and decided to try a restaurant in each of its quaint, little towns. Our first stop was at Fireside. We were very pleased by their culinary offerings. We ordered some gator bites, champagne-poached pears, and chicken & waffles. The chicken needed a little more salt, but it was cooked perfectly. Everything else was delicious too. The service was good too. Very happy we chose this place.

We had a Great time here. The food, service and drinks were fantastic. We both had the jambalaya that had just the right amount of spice and flavor for us. The portions were large and the prices were fair.

Great restaurant! Be sure to get reservations in advance but once you’re in it’s all good. Good location and ambiance, pretzel is big… like BIg! (and good).try the camel! And the pasta is solid, not overly saucy but so tasty!
