The Farmhouse is an intimate, rustic Vancouver restaurant featuring Italian flare in a homey, comfortable space. While Italian flavours brought us here, the bounty of the West Coast keeps us true to our roots. Growers, farmers, and foragers from across the valley stock our kitchen because, for us, the most honest ingredients come from the earth you stand on.

Farmhouse is a step up from the average meal out. It’s a nice place to take someone special or celebrate a family event – on a Monday evening we saw both those type of patrons.
Every bite was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The bread – whoo! Amazing focaccia. House made chili oil was chef’s kiss . The star for me was the scallop risotto, tho. Perfectly pan seared scallops, large portions, excellently flavored with pea shoots.
Can’t wait to come back and treat my mother in law.
Our server was polite/ok. They offer a great value lunch menu at $19, which is an excellent Monday-to-Friday business lunch option. I especially enjoyed the prawn spaghetti (con gamberi) and the house focaccia.
– Carbonara was amazing, the salt levels were absolutely perfect
– Tagliatelle al Ragù was good but I think was just slightly under seasoned
– Meatballs were slightly mushy but flavour was good
– Their bread was nice herby, but not particularly special either (I think it would be better if it was toasted a bit longer, but could be personal preference)
– Tiramisu was the only dish that was disappointing, too sweet and not enough espresso flavour
That is literally our only comment.
We got the 75 dollar 5 course menu and it was perfect – course after course.
I’ve only tried a few things off the menu because I’m vegetarian, but both the waffles and the mushroom benny are really tasty. The roasted potatoes are very yummy!
I love that they serve Agro coffee too. Many smaller restaurants just have kinda bland coffee so getting coffee from a good local roaster is a big plus.
The aesthetics of the restaurant are awesome. The wall of postcards and all the cute artwork of farm animals are a nice touch.
Best thing about this place is the service. Always super friendly without being intrusive. I’ll definitely be coming back.
The only downside is that the menu is not huge. Having one more vegetarian option would be nice but I expect they probably have a small kitchen so I’m glad that they already have a couple of tasty options. I understand that you cannot cater to all diets in a smaller restaurant.
Tirimisu did not have enough brandy, mascarpone cheese, and espresso.
Service is fast and friendly
Food is pretty large serving , nice home-cooked like Italian fusion.
The bread and Burrata is very good. Highly recommended.
Tried the Scallops with risotto, duck ragu tagliatelle and spicy Rigatoni – very good.
Tiramisu dessert was very good
Nice place for a dinner.
