We had dinner here at 7 pm on a Monday night. The first thing we noticed was how BRIGHT it was for the dinner hour. They must have forgotten the dimmers for the overhead lights because it was like high noon in the desert. The service was quick and friendly (Rebecca) but the food was just mediocre. I had the club sandwich. The fries were soggy and rather cold, and the sandwich was just so-so on boring white bread. We (the residents of The Grand) waited a long time for this new restaurant to open so it’s very disappointing that the food is only average. We won’t be going back.

What a wonderful addition to the restaurant in Sun City Grand! I love this place to go for dinner with my husband and sit in the dining room with the fabulous views. However, I enjoy dropping in between four and six, sitting in the bar, watching some sports and having a quiet dinner by myself before my Mahjongg club or pickle ball club in the evening.

First I must admit that I’m a “foodie” so I pay attention to all details, the good, the bad, and the ugly. First, the good: service was prompt and friendly, we sat outdoors , quieter and great view. Could even be better if they lit up the fountain! The indoor restaurant with lit brightly without ambiance, i guess I’m on the younger side of “ The Grand” and could still see the menu and would prefer dimmer lighting. We thought the food was average. We shared a wedge salad, they forgot the blue cheese crumbles, we had the ribs, decent and I had the pasta bolognese. They brought my pasta to me dry with very little sauce. I’m surprised the kitchen let that go out,I sent it back and they brought it back with more sauce and it was good, not great. We had the peach cobbler for dessert, pretty good. So I guess the net net is: with a bottle of wine and tip it was $140. Was it worth it ? Not really. We will try again in the future for lunch, better choice for less money for dinner at Angela’s and Bonfire. Again, I’m a foodie so have higher expectations, if you’re not picky, May appeal to you. We’d still like to support our neighborhood restaurant, we’ll try again after they work out the kinks

My husband and I had dinner last night at The Falls Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our meal was. When you go to a brand new restaurant you have to anticipate that there may be some issues and growing pains. Not so last night. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The patio was great and as the sun set they turned on the heater so we were very comfortable. We both ordered the fish and chips and it was wonderful. One very large, generously sized piece of cod that was hot, thick, flaky and cooked perfectly. The fries and remoulade sauce that was served with the fish was great! The wine and beer were very reasonably priced. So delighted to have this restaurant in our community and we look forward to going back!

First, the negative…it was a bit on the noisy side. But not so bad that it was intrusive. Also, everyone in our party had a cocktail before dinner. They were all rather light on the alcohol. . Now for the positive. Service was prompt and attentive. I had the ribs for dinner. They were tender and flavorful. They came with very tasty garlic green beans and a small serving of mashed potatoes. One person had a hamburger and the other 3 had the Falls Signature salad. Everyone liked their meals. We had the Brownie, Peach Cobbler and Churros for desert all of them were very good. Prices seemed reasonable. I can recommend this restaurant. They’ve only been open for 2 weeks. I expect things will get better and run smoother as time passes.

Went to The Falls after a round of golf on Granite South this past Sunday. The place was busy but we were able to get four seats at the bar. Beer was tasty and cold. Two orders of Falls Club Sandwich $14 which I was told were very good. Two orders of Fish & Chips $17. One piece of (small) fish per order and a thimble full of what they said was coleslaw. The garlic fries with all four orders were tasty. For $17 one would expect two pieces of fish like every other restaurant serves. We will let things shake out before we return again and as others have noted, it did seem pretty loud plus none of the bar TV’s had any sports on them during our visit.

Waitstaff were great. Sue was our server. Management responded when we suggested it was too chilly in the restaurant. Food was good with exception of the fish and chips (pretty small portion of fish). Parmesan garlic fries were great. Kitchen got 2 orders mixed up but corrected them (though that fix was rather slow). It was pretty loud in the dining room once tables began to fill. That would be my biggest negative. Happy to have this nice restaurant open. We’ll go back as it is likely to get better as they get more experience.

The Falls at 2:30 reservation this afternoon was wonderful. We were being seated in the lounge, but asked to be outdoors. Hostess said some of the waitstaff was on break so she did not have an available waitperson, but then Rebecca came by and said she were take care of us wherever we wanted to sit. She was so much fun. The bang bang cauliflower was great as were the parmesan fries. The only mar in the overall pleasant experience was the Fish and Chips. The one piece of fish (only one piece per order) was so rubbery and tough that we could not even cut it with a knife, much less take a bite. We sent it back to kitchen so they could see precisely what was problems was. We’d expected to get a different piece to replace it. Not so. The glitches in a new establishment are to be expected. However, the way those glitches are addressed is what sets a truly excellent manager aside from a run-of-mill shift supervisor. Still we will return. It’s a very nice addition to our community.

My friend and I had lunch today required a table on the patio was told we could not sit on the patio because there were only 2 of us there were 3 tables for 4 that were empty but we could not be seated at them we could only be seated at a table for 2 by the back wall the restraint was not busy and the tables for 4 were never used. I have never been to a restaurant in this area that has that policy. Being a new restraint I feel it would have been a good idea for the manager to go around to each table and ask how everything is. The server was good food soso
