If you’re looking for a home cooked small town style meal, here is where to get it. Had the special of the day which was meatloaf, mashed potatoes and a side of veggies- and it was perfect.

If you are in western Iowa on I-80 and hunger hits you, stop and eat here. Good food, portions and prices. I will stop again.

We were traveling back from Omaha, and my dad can’t use technology well. He managed to find a place to eat just a mile up the road. It’s a cozy mom and pop joint. We sat down and ordered and a few minutes later the Owner? Came out and told us that one of the cooks was having a medical emergency and our food would be delayed. While the wait was a while, she came back out and said that was the first meal she’s cooked here. We got 2 sandwiches and a grilled chicken meal and it was all good. Very friendly, and they made the best out of a very poor situation. Defiantly would recommend to everyone, and I can’t wait to come and have a proper visit again.

Awesome Place!!!!! totally Mom and Pop. The Owner is awesome as well, and the older waitress who works in the morning and pretty much does all the waitress work is totally cool too.

Wandered over here from the truck stop after a long day of driving. What a cool place. Friendly staff, delicious patty melt and broccoli soup. Fellow truckers sick of same old truck stop slop, check this place out.

Stopped in for lunch in the middle of a drive across Iowa. Didn’t know what to spect when we walked in, except that it was clearly different than all the usual suspects for dining along an interstate highway, I-80. Patrons all seemed to be local families and farm workers.

Have tried this place multiple times in hopes my horrible first visit was a fluke. It was not. Had the buffet. There was little on it, and what was there was awful. The chicken was so dry it was inedible. (I took it home to the dog who was equally disappointed.) There was some kind of grey mystery meat which I took a pass on.The rolls were hard as hockey pucks. There was little on the salad bar. The only good things were so far back under the protective cover they couldn’t be reached. Having given it 6 chances, I’m done. Very sad!

Came in from out of town and was not sure what to expect. Ordered the steak & shrimp special and was pleasantly surprised. Came with soup salad potato and toast. Pretty good on a cold rainy night. Came to $20 for everything. Would come back if I ever return to Iowa lol
