Came here after the Tavern didn’t open at 4. Glad I did.
Atmosphere was more inviting than expected. As soon as I sat down I was greeted with a friendly bartender who asked if I was there for a drink or want a food menu.
I ordered a Allagash White whist perusing the extensive menu.
Ended up ordering the Fried Shrimps with a side of Bang Bang sauce. And I must say, it lives up to its name. BANG BANG…
Shrimp was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of breading.
Bartender was attentive despite being a busy night.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the food and service and the price was reasonable…

Had a great time dining at the Downunder Sports Bar. I had the bacon cheeseburger, and it was yummy. Great drinks as well. I even went in the back room and played a few games of pool and then went out on the back balcony deck to finished my drinks with a breathtaking view.

We have never been to the Downunder Sports Pub and we were extremely glad we checked it out!
We ordered a bucket of beers. Can’t go wrong there.
For our food, we ordered a pound of bone-in wings, the spicy garlic Parmesan. These were excellent! The house made ranch brought them to the next level!
We had an order of mozzarella sticks, can’t go wrong there.
The last thing we ordered was the bbq chicken nachos. Those were excellent! Drizzle a little bit of the house ranch on top and I must say you can eat this dish as your entire meal.
The Downunder has plenty of seating plus that have a saloon bar where you can sit and eat or have a quick beer.
There is a small arcade area out front with coin operated machines.
They also have a stage so I’m sure they’ll have events and karaoke. We really enjoyed ourselves so we will definitely be looking out for the next live show.
Shout out to our waitress, Melissa! Everything was on point and she delivered with excellent customer service!

The service was great, our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza on cauliflower crust which I have never had, so I was pretty skeptical as to whether I would like it. IT WAS PHENOMENAL! We also had wings which were pretty awesome too. The drinks were delicious…I have nothing but great things to say about this local restaurant. I will be back!

Great spot. Ended up there both nights I stayed in Saint John. Food was awesome, great drinks, and the staff was killing it taking care of all the customers. Felt comfortable being there even though I was not from the area. This was definitely my favorite spot compared to other restaurant/bars I visited.

Hidden hot spot ( behind a motel)for the area, not really dive bar standards (which is usually where I like to stop… I like to experience what locals do). Staff is friendly. I’ve seen live music previously and spectated their indoor Cornhole recently. Good food, good atmosphere and always nice to chat with whomever walks in…otr truckers,locals and visitors like me….or the folks that are tending to their camps. Closes early…but everything does.

Ordered the wrong stuff. Will come back. Chips unusual. Not Mexican where things are stacked. No guacamole or lettuce..with pork and bbq sauce. On chips.. Will stick to steaks or burgers or wing next time.

We booked a family celebration at the Upover and worked with Leslie and Marty! They were so easy to work with and correspond with. Leslie made us a fabulous charcuterie board and we had other delicious appetizers and ordered our dinner off their regular menu which had plenty of options for the adults and the children! We had a great bartender who waa very attentive to our group!
Great service and my family would definitely book a function again with them or have dinner and drinks at the Downunder!
