One of the coolest places I’ve ever enjoyed dinner at. Tucked in the Stowe Mountain countryside, this restaurant/lodge rivals any 5 star establishment I’ve been to and the ambiance and service were 2nd to none. Very quaint, cozy and warm, perfect on a snowy winter evening. Wine list and food were both amazing. We didn’t get a chance to stay at this boutique hotel, but I’m certain it would be just as delightful.

I took myself out for an early birthday dinner. I arrived at about 7:30 pm on a Saturday with no reservation and luckily they were able to accommodate my since I was not dining with anyone else. I would recommend more foresight and planning than me 😉

If I could give a sixth star for this review, I would. We got married at the inn here, and make the trek back every year for our anniversary because we are absolutely in love with this place. Chef Jerome’s food is exceptional–the best you will find in Stowe, and maybe anywhere. He updates the menu seasonally, and sources much of it locally (some from their own gardens on property). Their elegant dining room upstairs and cozy tavern downstairs are both great options for a romantic evening. But with the recent trend toward outdoor dining due to COVID, the new permanent awning on their main patio coupled with the breathtaking views you get of the property grounds below (see attached photo) make this the best seat in town for dinner out. Their solid craft beer, wine, and custom cocktail offerings are just the cherry on top of a perfect evening.

Edson Hill is the absolute best place to eat in Stowe! Nothing compares. The staff are amazing, the food is the best I have ever had, and the space is perfection. The attention to detail takes this place to the next level. The views are breathtaking and the property is stunning. I could go on and on. This place is special and will capture your heart. Edson Hill is a 10 out of 10 in every regard! My daughter and her fiance got married there this past weekend and everything was absolutely perfect. Every single person working at Edson Hill is amazing. They are good at what they do, but so very nice and kind to work with as well. The food is just delicious, atmosphere the best and it was a weekend where we were able to focus on all the love around us and nothing else. Thank you Edson Hill for the most amazing wedding!

We have been in Vermont full time now for four years and could not believe we had not yet found this place. We have been twice and are glad we did. Our first experience was fine and the food was excellent. But our service was lacking. And the bar and beverage service was below what one would expect. Also the noise level was pretty high. However, our second trip was a very memorable meal. We had a different server who was outstanding. Also we were seated on the patio and it was beautiful, great view, and quiet. Every single dish was outstanding. If I had my second experience first it would definitely be five stars. However, our meal for 3 people was $400. Worth every penny. But at those prices there needs to be consistency.
