We had breakfast at The Daily Paper on Main because of the positive reviews; however, we had better food and service at other local restaurants in the area. We were seated right away inside, there was a wait for outside tables on the Friday morning we were there. We each ordered pancakes advertised as banana with candied walnuts. The three large pancakes were filled with banana and were moist and good but there were no candied walnuts, just finely chopped nuts on top. Three of the servers were standing around the “take out” register chatting the whole time we were there, and one was actually eating her own breakfast at the register. No one came around to offer my husband more coffee and he had to flag down a server to get his cup refilled. Also, I witnessed a female cook touch her hair while she was cooking and then go right back to doing what she was doing without washing her hands. Will we return…? No.

I loved sitting at the counter and watching the food being made and watching how kind the wait staff was to everyone! It made me wish I was a local who could stop by and be a regular. Definitely make sure you show up earlier or expect a long wait because everyone must know how good this place is

Excellent french toast, I highly recommend the cinnamon raisin french toast. The staff is friendly. The dining room is a little tight but comfortable and clean.

Wonderful breakfast/lunch place with a great food. Lots of choices in the menu. VERY clean. But especially I was pleased and impressed with the service. Didn’t expect it to be so very perfect. Thank you to our waitress!

Had a great time here with my sisters for our sisters weekend trip to cape cod. The waitress was the sweetest and she answered all our questions. She made us feel very comfortable and checked on us appropriately. The food were very delicious. Great atmosphere and amazing food.

Thank god this place had a bar to sit at because it was packed. Even if they didn’t it’s worth the wait! One of the best diners in the nation! I had the Belgian Waffle with Carmelized apples and cinnamon. Let’s just say you don’t need syrup! Amazing food and people! I know it’s one picture but it tells the whole story

Great food! Place was packed which tells you it’s good. Quick service. Waiter didn’t have any personality or people skills but it didn’t ruin breakfast. And in today’s economy the price was very reasonable.

Service was awesome, but the guidelines of their most easy recipes weren’t respected. We had lobster Benedict. Eggs were hard as a rock and lobster was very poor for the 20$ that we payed for it. Not sure for what I payed 20$.

All the food was so good and plentiful! Fair prices and friendly service. It gets busy so get there early! If you do they have early bird specials. The home fries weren’t crispy but that’s a matter of preference.
