I can’t say that I’ve ever thought about grocery store frozen pizza being a particular regional American style — my guess is this isn’t the best representation. If you like dry, flavorless, overcooked pizza akin to frozen grocery-store varieties, then this is the place for you!
We ordered a 10” sweet and spicy and a 10” meat lovers. We each ate a few bites and couldn’t continue. It was bad. No flavor. Burnt. Dry as the Sahara. The crust is akin to microwave pizza crust.
Ona positive note, we also ordered the wedge salad. It was as expected; crisp lettuce, a generous portion of fresh tomatoes and bacon with a nice tasting salad dressing.
Edit to add…
This was the first time this had happened out of the times we have gone, but the maranera sauce was accidently put on my pizza. Of course it was covered by goodness and I thought the taste difference was because I had added basil to the pizza and not green peppers. After a few pieces I notices red under the cheese. Found out it was the sauce and the waiter found out it had black pepper. I am allergic. Not deathly, but enough. He had them make me the correct pizza and asked every customer there if they had an allergy and if they happened to have benadryl. They are across from Walgreens and my husband had gotten me some, not realizing the waiter was doing this. I am ok and will definitely go back. They made it right and went above the call of duty trying to find me benadryl and checking on me to make sure they disnt need to get medical attention for me. (I really wish I knew his name.) He is also the waiter that helped us create my son’s garlic olive oil pizza, no cheese to make it like garlic bread sticks. His favorite thing ever. They now have benadryl in the first aid kit, just on case. I gave them one of the packets my husband got me. Still a fun birthday experience.
