This restaurant was a recommendation from the owners daughter. I was in the area so we ate in for lunch. I ordered the flounder platter it came with two sides. I chose fried okra and potato salad, hushpuppies are included. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, customer service was excellent. The dining room was a nice size and clean. They have a great selection of seafood. My mom enjoyed the speckled trout platter! Will definitely be back!

10/10 recommend. Absolutely delicious! Food was seasoned and fried to perfection. Crab legs were steamed and seasoned perfectly! Portion size was big and pricing fair. Owners were super nice and welcoming! Plenty of seating. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I were looking for some fresh seafood and came across this place. I told the cashier this was our first time visiting and she said you will be back and she was correct. I had a whiting sandwich and my wife had croaker, both fishes were well seasoned.

We had a very good experience at Elgin Seafood! Quick service and the food was delicious. I had tilapia and my husband had whiting. Both were very good, very generous servings and reasonably priced! We visited at lunch and had leftovers for supper!

The Fried Seafood here is Really, really good! It is great as a takeout place.
Sit in dining is a bit uncomfortable with limited AC and not many lights on… but the food specials is great and the during the Summer I visited, but prices are extremely reasonable for those on a budget and curmudgeons like me.
Food is cooked by a Mom & Pop team, who know what they are doing.
Food is always cooked to order, so it is unbearably HOT when brought out to you. So it will still be hot when you eat it if you live in the immediate area, just give it a minute or 3 to cool if you are Starving!
And the food is delicious. Filets are cooked perfectly – mind you, I am quite picky and finicky, so chances are you will be happy with your meal choices.
Prices are reasonable and the cashier is manned (?) by the daughter, who handles CREDIT CARD transactions with ease.
Try them, I think you will like it.

When we entered the building it was hotter in the building than it was on the outside and no other customers were there. The fish was so pretty and hot, but had absolutely no seasoning on it. They ran out of bread and didn’t tell us, but gave my husband 2 hushpuppies in place of them after he asked for his bread. The place was clean and they were friendly, the prices were even ok. They need a new cook.

The food was amazing, and it was definitely worth the 20 min drive from Northeast Columbia. I ordered the red snapper and it was definitely a big piece of fish. I loved their scallops and they were the big size and not the small size scallops that a lot of seafood restaurants give. The owner and his assistant were very nice and friendly. I will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

This place is hidden gem. Come try their Red Snapper. Amazing potatoes salad and those down home fried okra. You won’t regret it. So check them out and it’s worth the money.
