The Crunkleton Charlotte is a private club located at 7th Street and Pecan Avenue in historic Elizabeth. Here you will enjoy the same classic cocktails, deep selection of fine spirits, curated wines and craft beers as our original Chapel Hill location with the addition of a full kitchen centered on open hearth, live fire cooking for dinner nightly. Our dinner menu is designed to complement the cocktails, prepared and executed with a similar respect for the past with new, innovative twists. We serve appetizers, entrees and shared plates and feature everything from dry-aged meats and hearth-hung chickens to seasonal small plate offerings and a really good burger. Each and every item kisses the hearth at some point during preparation.

Food is incredible. We ordered the tomahawk for 4 people and it was perfect for sharing . I’d say order 1 maybe 2 appetizers and you’ll be fine. We had the beignets before the steak just to get us going . Killer cocktails too!

Was going to impress some friends from out of town, boy was I wrong. The worst old fashioned I’ve ever had. Tasted like straight liquor, not ever a hint of sweetness, orange, or bitters/simple syrup, one of my guests got the same drink, and agreed it was undrinkable. Tuna tar tar app was the highlight of the night 9/10. I got the steak frites – the fries were good but the chimichuri ruined the steak, I could taste nothing but LIME, it was extremely overpowering. My guest got the chicken piccata which they were satisfied with. Side for the table were underwhelming as well. Asparagus was good (hard to mess up) 8/10, macaroni with truffle was dry and flavorless, basically tasted of plain noodles with a bit of cheese here and there, duck fat potatoes were OK 6/10, glazed carrots were horrible 1/10 since they were indeed a carrot the flavor was too sweet and too burned/smokey. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such high reviews. We will not be returning – I make much better food (and drinks) at home. Also it was extremely loud because we were seated right next to the open kitchen, we couldn’t even hear one another.

I wish I could give this more stars. Everything from drinks to appetizers to entrees to service to ambience were all top notch. I highly recommend this place. The guys had the tomahawk and raved about it. The girls had the chicken picatta and it was so flavorful. Natasha was our server and she was phenomenal with recomendations and continously checking on us. Don’t wait to book. Well worth the price.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was thoroughly impressed by the cuisine and the hospitality. The Tomahawk steak is a standout choice for groups, offering both incredible flavor and a great shared dining experience. We were able to share it among 4 people with an additional shared appetizer and it was the perfect amount of food.
Only recommendation is that reservations are hard to get at times so plan ahead! It may also be possible to snag a seat at the bar or patio which seem to be first come first!

We enjoyed a meal here recently, and it was mostly great! The steak frites were cooked perfectly, definitely recommend the truffle aioli for the fries. Cocktails were all really wonderful flavor combos. The pecan pie was a real treat, heavily loaded with pecans as it should be. The crab cakes were fine but not anything special. The veggies – carrots and heath veggies – both could have been better and the reason I deducted a star. The carrots were undercooked and I thought maybe the glaze was going to be caramelized or crisped, it seemed to be just poured on top. The hearth veggies were a bit overcharred and presentation was just tossing them on a plate. Definitely would return, would make different selections on veggies.

I had an amazing experience at this cocktail bar! The drinks were crafted perfectly and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. You can really tell the kitchen and bar both take pride in what they do.. everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. It’s the kind of place where you come for the for a well rounded experience.
What truly made the night unforgettable, though, was our waitress, Hannah. Her service was through the roof. She was attentive, friendly, and had such a great energy that made the whole table feel welcome and taken care of the entire time. She gave great recommendations and checked in at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive.
The best part? Finding out she’s a Scorpio!!! That signature Scorpio vibe!! confident, charismatic, and a little mysterious definitely added to the charm of the evening. Hannah made the whole experience feel personal and memorable.

Crunkleton is probably our favorite brunch spot in CLT! Why is that…the beignets!!! They are out of this world. Other brunch items are also equally delicious. We will be back.

Wonderful atmosphere with exceptional service & food. We’ve dined here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is extremely attentive, knowledgeable and always pleasant. We have tried several items on the food selection as well as their excellent cocktails and never been disappointed. We had an issue with a gift card (most likely my fault??) but they addressed it promptly and with total satisfaction. They are truly focused on their customer. I highly recommend and look forward to future visits!
