For more than 60 years, the Squire has been the Restaurant of choice, for special occasions, celebrations, date nights, family gatherings, and anytime a quality meal is the desired outcome. The charming log cabin and english tudor decor offers an amazing venue able to accommodate 300 plus diners at one time. There is banquet and meeting rooms, an inn, a vineyard & winery, a gift shop, a guest house, and events venue. The Country Squire is your go to venue for quality food at a fair value. The Squire prides itself at being the home of relaxed dining. The Country Squire is located in rural Duplin County. About halfway between the Cities of Raleigh and Wilmington just minutes off I-40 between the towns of Kenansville and Warsaw.

This place is so unique. Trees are indoors and there are so many rooms to explore. We enjoyed the meal but be warned the Korean beef is marinated in soy sauce. If you don’t like salt then this isn’t for you. Our server was friendly and efficient. The homemade salad dressings were amazing.

I enjoyed our family dinner here. The wine is phenomenal. I really like that the stuffed mushrooms can be battered or regular. I’ve been back about three times just to get a bottle of wine since they sell it separately and some of their delicious cheese spread. Don’t hesitate to have a fancy night out here.

This is a must place to experience. My husband and I went on our anniversary. As soon as we walked in the door we were captivated. It was like walking into another world. It is absolutely beautiful. The staff is so friendly. Our waitress Amanda was on point. Very sweet and attentive. The food was incredible. From the cheese dip & fresh veggies, the bacon wrapped scallops, the fresh salad, 12 oz sirloin (cooked to a perfect medium), chicken breast stuffed with spinach drizzled in cheese sauce and oh the garlic mashed potatoes. You definitely will not leave hungry. Worth every penny. This is now our go to place for dining out. Definitely beats out the the big chain restaurants. Can’t wait to bring our family and friends.

Always an excellent dining experience at this unique restaurant and winery. Do the wine tasting and visit the gift shop before dinner. This is a fun way to get to know the place and sample wines because you will for sure want to order a bottle before your meal. The Black Knight Cabernet is a good wine to pair with steak. The service is always exceptional. I can’t recommend they ounce bacon wrapped filet enough. Visit in December or for New Year’s eve for marvelous old world decor and a superbly festive atmosphere.

Fantastic place. Amanda served us and was wonderful with everything. Iris was over to check in on anything else. Atmosphere is phenomenal. We had a wine tasting prior to dinner that was amazing as well. Definitely be back often!

Love Love Love this place!! Haven’t been there in years and we went for my birthday didn’t disappoint!! The wine tasting was awesome and the gentleman that served us was very knowledgeable on all their wines and very friendly!! Our table was ready at our reservation time we sat right down and the service was excellent even though they were fairly busy! Food was out in a timely manner and was cooked and seasoned to perfection!! This is a must go to place if you live near by or if you live further they have a inn you can stay the night also!! 5 stars if you haven’t been there you need to for sure!!! Will be making another visit soon!

Me and my wife had dinner there on the 2-3-23 and the place was crowded when we got seated in the very back of the business on a stage. There were 4 party’s going on and only 2 waitresses. It took over an hour to get our food. Sat at that table from start to finish for 1hour 45min. When we left we told the manager about our experience and she said we were short staffed and i understood that and I asked why she allowed so many poeple in the restaurant knowing they were short staffed and all I got was attitude. This place is usually a good place to eat but when you are about to fall asleep at the table waiting on your check that’s bad. The 2 waitresses were overwhelmed and over worked, they did the best they could. Probly won’t be back for this reason. The place is over priced for this kind of service.

Everything was wonderful about this establishment. The food was delicious- steak cooked to perfection, the staff was very friendly and provided excellent service, and the atmosphere was exactly what we expected. Hopefully next time we go we can get there early enough to enjoy the gift shop and winery. This was a well deserved 5 stars all around.
