YUM! Looking for quick takeout? This is the place! Got the beef and lamb gyro for $10.75, what a deal! The meat was juicy and flavorful, and the gyro was a good size. They do not have any seating, just a pickup counter. If driving they do have a few parking spots. Can’t wait to go back and try more items!

Top notch. Never had a bad meal from this place. Usually get the gyro or the chicken tenders. Can be a little pricey, but inflation is a real B. Food quality and service are excellent. Very nice owners and staff as well. 10/10

I’ll echo some other reviews that I can’t believe it took me so long to get food from here. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and the meals are well-executed. My daughter loves the fish and chips and my husband (who is fairly picky with take out) said the chicken Parmesan was delicious. I get the Greek salad, which is enormous and could easily be shared by two people, but I eat all of it because it’s the only salad I’ve ever craved on my life. My picture has a banana for scale to drive home how big it is – the entire box is packed with a fantastic salad.

I don’t know if the quality control of their food is diminished when ordered through ubereats. What I received was not acceptable quality. I ordered the chicken strips with fries, Mac & cheese on the side, lemon chips, and ranch sauce. The food itself tasted almost flavorless. The chicken was crunchy as chicken tenders should be, but with no flavor, what’s the point? The Mac & cheese was bland and loaded with butter, as if it was cooked from a cheap store bought box. The ranch sauce tasted like it was intended for salad, not chicken. The honey mustard had too much vinegar in it. I was very upset and as a result, had to skip having dinner. I understand that restaurants have off days, but this is enough to turn one away from ever giving another chance.

I heard about The Counter at Old Ballard Catering and paid a visit after ordering online. They made it pretty easy to order online with an easy to use online ordering system accessed from their website. They had a lot of Greek foods, I heard the owners are of Greek descent, but they also had other foods like fish tacos. I ended up going with the Athena gyro because it’s not something I’ve had before. I parked at the restaurant and waited and one of the owners brought it out to my car even though I had not checked in yet – very good service. The woman was very friendly as well. For the food, the gyro was tasty. The fries were a nice addition to the gyro, but what struck me the most was the meat. The pieces of meat seemed less like they were on a spit and more like they were pieces of steak. I can’t confirm either way, but I appreciated the steak-like quality of the meat they put in the gyro. I’ve seen the storefront they are currently in change hands a few times in the past few years and I hope they will hold on to for a long time to come. I definitely recommend visiting!

All the takeout from The Counter has been excellent from tacos, to gyros, to chicken tenders. They offer drinks to go at a reasonable price too and the online ordering is painless. The chicken tenders here might honestly be some the best I’ve ever had. It wasn’t what I was expecting at all when I bit into it because it was just SO good. Lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood.

The falafel pita is amazing, even without feta and tzaziki (dairy free). I’ve also had the fish fry which is very good. Overall the quality, portions, and flavors all seem beyond their price point. Sad I didn’t try it sooner – highly recommend!

Fish street tacos and lamb gyro extraordinary. Very tasteful with a good balance of flavors. Good proportions. Home made salsa is good as well. We got a side of Greek fries thinking proportions might be small and barely touched them. However, they also had incredible taste. They serve ciders, beers, and cocktails. Bloody Mary and Mojito were okay. They went well with the food but weren’t mind blowing. Overall we would come back and order the same thing again. Very good food.

Great food and quick service. The internal decor was very cute, waiting for the food was lovely. I will come back, especially for the fresh warm pita bread and the generous gyro.

The first thing I have to say is that the customer service goes above and beyond. They were extremely nice and accommodating.
