Perfect spot for counter service coffee and breakfast/lunch sandwiches made to order with a great staff that cares about what they serve. And good spot to read the paper or laptop work. (Not the best for a formal video meeting though.)

The coffee was really good. No complaints there.

The food on the other hand was pretty bad. We got a breakfast sandwich and a scone. The sandwich was incredibly dry and bland but at least edible. The slice of cheese was somehow still cold though

The scone was much worse though – it was so under baked that there was wet, raw dough in the middle. Couldn’t even finish it.

Recommend the coffee – skip the food

Service with a Smile…. I really enjoyed this place in Newburyport. The coffee is roasted on site and very fresh and you can’t beat the service. Big smile, Big good morning…. Oh, and it passed the clean bathroom test. Awesome place to rip through some emails and enjoy a very good coffee. The staff really makes it a good place to go.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. I come to Newburyport about 6x a year from the west coast. The service used to be friendly and casual. Now it feels like the baristas are annoyed people are even there. Almost zero friendly interaction. As someone who has been in the coffee business for years, how you make people feel is an important as the quality of the coffee. I can train anyone how to make a drink or grind coffee. I can’t train a good personality. That comes down to hiring.

Also, the espresso isn’t as good as it used to be. It used to be rich, strong, and intense. Now it’s more like triple strength coffee.

It’s nice to have a place I can walk to, but I may look for other options.

The taste of latte was very nice hut there was no art, which should be there! Plus, the cap was very loose so when I started to drink, some of the coffee dropped on my coat. Atmosphere was good. Nice flowers and pictures.

This place was a Cozy Little Hidden Gem not far from the waterfront. Delicious Matcha Lattes . Service was Fast and Helpful. Parking there was plenty of street side parking. What a beautiful fall sunny day to be on the streets of Newburyport.

Good coffee spot right in the downtown Newburyport area. Inside is nice, clean and spacious and they have a few outside seats out front. Staff was young college people and all were nice and friendly. Overall the coffee and croissant I had were good and I’ll be back again I’m sure.

Great coffee! I like the dark roast as is low in acidity. Delicious bakery items and unique sandwiches. Really good vibe. Pictured: Large Dark Roast and Carrot Muffin.

I ordered the “works” breakfast sandwich on sourdough. It was very fresh and very good. It came out rather quickly. Not too busy for a Wednesday morning.
The servers up front were friendly and patient with me as o looked at the menus and asked questions about sugar free syrups (they have vanilla, caramel and hazelnut). Lots of sugared flavors and combos sound heavenly. I got an iced sugar free vanilla latte and it was great.
There is ample seating on both sides.

My family and I went in on October 12th around 5 pm and we got there right before closing. We wouldn’t have gone in but saw the open sign – we thought they closed at 6, not 5. My mom excitedly asked the barista to grind the coffee beans as she wanted to buy some grounds (after we were told they sold the grounds by the same barista). This was met with a sigh and attitude from the worker saying how they close at 5. Once again, we had no idea. She angrily asked the other employees that were sitting inside to put the closed sign on the door because of this. After making our order, she reluctantly grabbed my friend’s coffee after she pointed out she forgot the vanilla. Once again, she was clearly annoyed (how hard is it to add a pump of vanilla?) Then, my other friend ordered a chai latte- it was terrible. You could tell the barista made it horribly because she was upset we were there. The other coffees were just black iced coffees so those were fine. We understand it’s frustrating when customers come in right before close. We really didn’t know and if she had told us kindly we would’ve left or just quickly got out of her way. To walk in and be met with a grumpy look and sounding “hello” followed by the poor service was disappointing. This really left a sour taste in our mouths, just like the chai latte.
