My fiancé is a New York transplant and has been on the hunt for authentic New York style pizza in California for years. We tried Spanky’s and he literally shed a tear. It tastes just like his favorite pizza back home! 10/10 recommend and it’s New Yorker approved!

Spanky’s definitely lives up to all the other reviews. What a hidden gem; it’s like stepping back in time with the nostalgia of the place, the game room downstairs and the friendliness of the service. The pizza is out of this world, a delicious thin crust, perfectly melted cheese without a ton of grease, just the right amount of tomato sauce, and fresh toppings, in this case chicken and mushrooms. Great prices too!

This was a super good pizza place! We had stopped by when we were heading through town, and I’m glad we did. The pizza had a really nice crust, and was cooked perfectly. The ambience and customer service of this restaurant is really nice too, even though I wasn’t in there for too long. Loved it.

This place absolutely gets a thumbs up from me. The ingredients were of great quality, the food was prepared excellently, and the staff were as friendly as could be. If you’re looking for crispy crust on a pizza that isn’t burnt, this is the place to go!
My one and only complaint is that the atmosphere of the restaurant was a little bit run-down. Everything was serviceable, but just looked worn out. Unlike other places I’ve eaten, however, I genuinely do not feel like this issue is born out of a lack of care on the Staffs’ side. They seem to really care about the location, and do the best with what they’ve got.
They deserve your support! Worth every penny.
