This is our second time here and we thought the first time was a fluke. No, the second time here was even better. I had the best steak sandwich that I have had in decades here. We live 45 minutes away and I would come back for that alone. The other plates are equally fantastic, and of course we topped our meal with the molton lava cake. We will be back!

I have been out of town for a few weeks, so I wanted to take out my fiancé on a date night. We headed south stopped in Cartersville to grab some dinner located this restaurant upon arriving. It looked really nice presentation of the entrance, down to the celler was nice that hemisphere look laid-back, relaxing, we got seated quickly with no reservations which was sent to a good start. We order an appetizer and two drinks. The appetizer came out first looked super delicious, and our drinks came out shortly after so that got us all excited about the food as it looked really good. The pork belly appetizer was delicious no denying that the wine my fiancé had was OK and my Oaxaca drink not so good, the drink was over powered by the dry fruit in it and they used a really cheap Mezcal not worth it. We weren’t offered any napkins. We have no silverware and we can obviously see the server at that restaurant was new because you can see he has experience, but looked lost! He had a hard time locating things within the restaurant, which I believe call him to be late and not serve as he should be. We didn’t get straws after we asked we had to ask a second time for them to bring the straws. He didn’t refill waters, not even after we asked him to And I think it’s because he was looking for the water jar, Not sure what the situation was but then he brought and refilled my cup of water and I order my second drink and I’m glad I ordered it on the rocks straight because I didn’t want to get ripped off on another drink. They use a lot of cheap liquor to make the drinks and super over price drinks. On my second drink I got a Woodford on the rocks double which I am OK to pay Woodford price because I know what Wilford is. We both picked our two entrées. I went with the recommendation and I made a mistake. The mashed potatoes had no flavor. The rib was dry super dry. I took two bites, and it was not cooked the way I requested to be cooked and my fiancé steak was super dry as well same request, She also only took a couple bites. To the extent that I told my waiter that I rather eat my appetizer than that. I also had to ask for the silverware again. All in all it went from a good start to a really disappointing finish that’s not on the waiter fault, he was doing the best. that’s on the management of the restaurant and the cooks. To add the macaroni and cheese look like it was in a bowl of soup of cheese. Needless to say I paid over $100 to eat appetizers. Here is the pictures and the presentation was nice the food not good!! I even felt bad for the waiter and still left him a tip because he was trying total cost of the night 200+ dinner date night! A big fail!

Visiting from Florida, we were recommended to try this quaint place to eat. Party of 6 with an 8 year old. We had a great time. Waitress was fun and good with recommendations. Drinks were on point, and the food was very good. It was a little pricey but I guess you’re paying for the atmosphere. Overall, we would go again maybe without the little one.

This was our first time in here on 5/12/23. We will be back. This isn’t a place you eat at every week, but nice for an occasional trip in here. The prices were fair for the amount of food we got.

Great place to visit on a trip! The food was absolutely amazing and is not something I say about many places. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food and the appetizers were also fantastic.

This is a unique place to dine. It has an interesting atmosphere with really good service. They were out of the item me and my wife wanted on their menu, so we had to settle for burgers.

Great eatery. I ordered and enjoyed the buttermilk fried chicken entree. The ambiance is super chill, and I love the historical aspect and upkeep of the dining room.

Celebrated 27 years with my bride with a wonderful dinner at The City Cellar and Loft. Great service from Isabella. Seared scallops appetizer, shrimp & grits for my wife, bourbon barrel pork chop with collards and mashed potatoes for me, and lemon pie for dessert. She liked the peach martini, too. Thanks for a great evening!

It’s a pretty cool place with some good food options including the fantastic kale salad and sweet potato fries. Yum!!! I rather the side veggies were not cooked in wine and that the salads had A LOT more greens. I also like a crispy rather than doughy flatbread, but that is my personal taste. The service was very good except I wasn’t given the option of blackened protein, which I was told by another server, is available. The grilled was really good though.

I first visited The City Cellar and Loft five or six years ago, and found it acceptable, if a bit pricey for the quality of the food. Tonight I ended up returning, mainly because the other restaurants in the area all had wait times approaching an hour. I wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about coming back, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
