The bouncers/security were awful tonight. There was an empty space with a table and a couple of chairs where no one was allowed or seated at all night(which of course is no issue), blocked off with a couple of stanchion posts. The bar was busy and we were standing about 6 inches off of “the rope” of the stanchions and security freaked out and would physically push us and tell us to get off the rope that we weren’t even touching. This happened multiple times throughout the night and we weren’t even close to touching it. I tried asking what the area was for curiously and the security tonight either didn’t understand me or didn’t want to give me a clear answer and just told it’s to get off the rope that we were not near. Incredibly frustrating. Seemed like those boys have a power trip since they deal with college kids mostly. Maybe be a professional next time and understand no one is trying to push through your empty blocked off area by the stage.

I came here on Sunday for the bingo session. The bingo game itself was nice but the waiter at the counter that day was being dry. She acted like she really didn’t want to answer questions. I was asking her questions pertaining to foods & drinks. Then a while later when a Caucasian couple came in she was being really nice & friendly to them. She didn’t have that same energy with me & my friend though. Also my card was overcharged 40 dollars two days later. Definitely won’t be returning.

Went to Circ on my birthday with my wife and friends. DJ/karaoke was a great time and the bartending staff did their best given the massive crowd. The guy working the s’more stand was very helpful also. However hands down the worst security team around. One security card in particular pulled a stool out from under my wife while she was sitting on it. He was apparently collecting the stools at 1am which doesn’t make sense to me. Doesn’t seem so important a task to risk injuring a customer. I’ll be warning anyone who asks about the terrible security staff so they can weigh their options beforehand.

This place was an incredible venue for my sorority’s date party last week. Everyone so catering, the space is perfect, and the karaoke add on was such a hit! They were able to hold our 200+ guests and everything planned went so smoothly. I highly recommend The Circ Bar to host your parties – we will definitely be returning to them 🙂

Hands down my favorite bar in Ann Arbor. On Friday there was a group of guys being weird to us and other girls and Nick escorted them out. Nick always has our back and is one of the reasons we love going to circ! Everyone should have someone like Nick on their staff — he always makes us feel welcome and safe.

My friends and I have been going to Circ for awhile now. The food is pretty decent. The drinks are way too overpriced and small, though. the music the play is weird and way too loud for a Wednesday night at 5 pm. I know that makes me sound old, but it really is just crazy stupid loud. Also the circ idol karaoke competition is rigged. I’ve gone and watched a couple times, and the winners are always friends of the djs or people he coaches as a singer.

One security guy at this place has some complex because he is 5’2”. It happened already multiple times that this person would just jump on the stage to pull me and another male friend away from the stage because our girlfriends were about to sing a song with us and he decided he prefers our girlfriends to perform without us. Then he keeps roaming around accusing people of putting their empty beer bottles or cocktails on tables on the wrong side of the bar. This joker literally grabbed a drink that a random person left somewhere in the bar and walked up to me on the dance floor to aggressively ask me whether that was mine. Probably to order me to bring it to the bar.

My friends and I got kicked out because we were “throwing up in the bathroom” while literally on stage singing karaoke. Bouncers were super aggressive towards male in our group and were trying to provoke an altercation. Wouldn’t even let us get our stuff before physically pushing us out. Teeny men letting the small amount of authority they have go directly to their head. Bartender in the lounge area slayed tho #purrrr
