Getting late as we pass through Oshkosh, NE. Seeking a good restaurant to satisfy our hunger, we select The Chubby Rhino. Great decision. Nice family restaurant and bar, very good food.
We selected the flat iron steak with vegetables and a burger with onion rings. Cooked to perfection and very filling.

So much fun here! Perfect place for my daughter’s birthday! We live in Utah and she wanted to come here for her birthday (and visit cousins). It was delicious and the owner really went above and beyond to make it special for us. We’ll definitely be back!

Staff was absolutely fantastic, extremely nice and professional, we stuck with the Baby Rhino burgers and they were very delicious and not gigantic which is what we were after… beer is all bottles or cans so can go wrong there. Atmosphere was light and fun… a bit of music wouldn’t have hurt as it was a tad bit quiet… will be back!

What a disappointment!
I had heard a lot of hype about this place… unfortunately, the food did NOT live up to everything I had heard! By 5:15, they were already out of their “Friday Night Special” of ribs, so my husband ordered the New York strip. When he asked what it came with, the waitress stated that it came with everything the special came with… NOT!! To add insult to injury, as you can see by the pictures, at least half of the steak was gristle and fat, not to mention the fact that it appeared to be partially boiled and had no flavor. I ordered the walleye, which was actually good, but the Mac and cheese that I ordered was basically the cheapest boxed macaroni and cheese you can find! Again, refer to the photo. Needless to say, it was not worth the 30-minute drive from Chappell or the $55 bill, and… we will probably never go back! Instead, we will opt to go to the Patriot Grill!

I first have to say this place was very clean. The 2 employees were very nice. That said the food was absolutely horrible. Even the waitress at the bar and the cook said this air fryer is horrible. I felt my dinner could have been cooked by a 13yr old from my house. The salad was all brown around the edges. Was just a cheap bag salad. You figure being out here would have had the best steak you can think of. But no. It was grey like it was frozen and was cooked on a pan. Then it had tons of pepper and salt. I had to actually scrape it off before I could even eat it. Loved are way too high for this kind of food. So sad that the owner won’t change their ways.

Ordered a chicken fajita sandwich at their food truck which cost $17, after I picked myself back up off the ground and paid, I calmed myself down thinking this will be a monster sized sandwich with fries and a drink…..Never going to get robbed by this thief again for a regular hamburger bun sized sandwich that only came with a small bag of chips.

I only briefly got to go to the actual business, but got the food from their food truck. We were passing through on our way south. Food was good, especially the brisket, and totally wish I had tried the nachos. When I went into the brick and mortar location, it was absolutely gorgeous with friendly staff, and even friendly faces at the tables. Prices were amazingly on point at both truck and location. To the guys working the truck that first time: Sorry we didn’t get to see y’all again to thank you in person, but the flier you gave us brought us back to Oshkosh and literally the nicest stay our entire time away from home at a place just down the street from your place! Thank you so much for all your kindness and introducing us to your town!!!

Amazing atmosphere for a small town business!!!! Friendly staff and the Cajun book is amazing!! Also a lot of items are air fried so just a heads up but still good! Pizzas are super tasty as well!!! Hope the small town keeps this place going!!!

We were in OshKosh for the day and stopped in for lunch. What a wonderful surprise. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the Baby Rhino burger and my GF had the walleye. They were both perfect. We can’t wait to get back to try other items. Thanks!!
