I’ve been eyeing this place for a while. I was starving and wanted some yummy chicken. Well, this place showed up and I went. Cool vibes on the outside. Cool vibes on the inside too.
The staff and cashier was so very nice. It was energetic in there and fun. Here is where it failed me epically. Peruvian food isn’t something I know too much about, but what I got doesn’t seem like something outside of LA fast food.
I got the Chicken that is over some French fries, grilled onions and tomato and smothered with some SALTY soy sauce stuff or something. With jasmine rice too.
The flavors were destroyed by the saltiness. As I ate it, I realized I was eating a mix match of leftovers it feels. The chicken was basic as the fries, tomatoes and onions felt sloppy. The rice was okay.
I forced myself to finish this plate. Not because it was delicious, but because it was so darn expensive I felt jipped.
I never like reviewing restaurants something low, but dang. This had me confused why I paid !26.00! For something that not only costs 4 dollars to make and felt very sloppy put together, I think 2 stars is as good as I’m going to give this place.
NOW, do not let this review speak for all the dishes or even the quality of staff. It is a bad review because of the insane price for the value of food. I’m not trying to be a jerk, I’m trying to save you 20 bucks.

Exceptional food that comes out incredibly fast — but definitely not fast food. The Chix Fried Rice is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Consistently delicious and a go-to spot in Hermosa when you want quality without the wait.

If been in Manhattan Beach for work for two months and I’ve been eating out a ton, with 100% confidence I can tell you this is my favorite spot. A nice square meal that was delicious, just like home. When it comes to rotisserie chicken, they’ve perfected their craft.

Ordered the lomo saltado when my flight got in late and I needed to door dash whatever was close. It was delicious!!! The beef was tender and the tomatoes / onions were well marinated.

I didn’t take a picture of my food this time, but the Chicken Shack is a 10/10. My go to is their beef saltado, and it is a hit every time. Also, the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

I was visiting the area and was in need of a late night meal and The Chicken Shack did not disappoint. The chicken was well seasoned, moist and the skin was very crispy. Everything tasted wonderful and I received great customer service.

Ordered lomo saltado for take out and they only gave me one piece of meat in my meal. Called them to ask them to make it right and they told me they’d call me back (they never did). Will never return or recommend to anyone. Food is mid.

Food was absolutely delicious! Took a visit here because of their famous chicken car getting featured in J-hope’s music video. Parking was small and very limited. There was no restroom available for customers. Luckily, the salon owner a few doors down was kind enough to let my family to use their bathroom. We had a long drive to this restaurant so if you’re in the same boat, make a bathroom stop before dinning here. Service was quick and the host check on us a few times to make sure we enjoyed everything. This place was worth the 5 hour trip! Will be back when I’m in town or driving through.

Excellent great food, tender juicy chicken, was just in Peru so know very well authentic and as great as the local restaurants in Cusco and Lima Peru. 100% will eat here again.
