This was hard to post because I didn’t want to ruin the perfect 5 stars of a growing restaurant. The food was wonderful. No one was there so we had the whole location to ourselves. It was a sweet little spot. I asked for a refill of tea and got told I would have to pay for a refill. I double checked and told her it didn’t state anywhere in the menu that refills cost, that it would have been nice to know before getting a drink. She grabs my cup to fill it and tells me how people come in and drink 4 and 5 cups and that’s just too much. I made mention that it would probably be beneficial to inform customers they have to pay for refills by putting a sign in the door or having it in the menu, but I didn’t want to argue, I wanted to enjoy my meal. She then goes on to tell me how nobody offers free refills or they would be losing money. I told her she was a bit misinformed and she said well their cups aren’t this big are they? I said no, once again tired of the argument and she says HA see I told you. Completely unnecessary and I ended up throwing half my food away because I was no longer in an eating mood after all that nonsense. All that being said, feel free to give the place a try just don’t ask for a refill!

OMG!!! Just found out about this place!!! Good food and friendly service. I had the escoveitched fish with rice and fried plantains. My friend had the oxtails AND curried goat. Mmmm good…that’s all I can say!! And plenty of parking for lunch. (I’m going back later for drinks!!)

Specializing in Jamaican cuisine, this is a nice change of pace from the normal offerings. Dishes are fresh and made to order. Jerk chicken is nicely spiced with minimal kick. The shrimp pasta has more of a kick. Both the dishes have very different types of spices, the shrimp has hints of coconut. Portions are generous for lunch. Open and welcoming atmosphere with excellent service. Also billed as a sports bar, it has many TVs and a nice bar. Outdoor dining is available. Dishes prices are all in the teens, with a drink meals (at least lunch) expect will change from a twenty.

We stopped in here for lunch today and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend the jerk chicken! The owner was very friendly! We will be sure to tell our real estate clients moving to the area to eat at Chef’s Delight at Lake Oconee!

I’m only rating this restaurant with a one star because I had to rate it to post this review. Otherwise, they would have received a flat 0 zero. Today, we stop by this piece of restaurant because we were excited to see a Jamaican restaurant in the area, and we wanted to patron it, and pick up food to have for dinner. When we got to the door of the restaurant, there was a sign posted that says “no public restrooms.” My husband and I assumed that the sign was addressing none paying people who walked in off the street, and not paying customers. We were wrong, it meant that there was no restroom even for paying customers.

The food is delicious but the portion sizes are very small for the price & to be a Jamaican restaurant. All in all I will return because the service was great.
