While exploring we decided to stop here for a drink and appetizers. It was crowded but we found seats at the bar. The Rubin egg rolls were the best I’ve had and the street tacos were very tasty, although I did have to season the meat with some salt. My party enjoyed a variety of beers and I had the Mango Habanero hard seltzer. They had many humorous signs posted throughout, which we found amusing.

Chatterbox is our favorite restaurant in Illinois. What keeps us coming back is the amazing food (tacos are our favorite) and our favorite waitress, Courtney. She makes every experience fun and always brings the positive energy. After just a few times of her working with us, she memorized our favorite drinks and our names, giving it a very personalized feel to our experience. We just recently rented out the top floor for our Bridal shower and we made sure to request her to work our party. We received many compliments on how amazing she is. Sometimes we will go just to see and hang with her. Best waitress around!

We love the Chatterbox! More importantly, we love the workers there. Courtney is one of the best waitresses we have ever had. Every time we walk into Chatterbox and she sees us, she greets us with positive energy and remembers our names. She even knows what our go-to drinks are which makes us feel good and makes us wanting to go back. Courtney is one of the sole reasons why we keep going back and we couldn’t imagine Chatterbox without her.

Checked in at the host stand and was told the wait would be around 20 minutes. Got seated an hour later. Put our order in, waited…server came out and said our food would be ready soon…waited some more…server came again and said they just finished a very large catering order and our food should be coming out soon…took another hour to finally get our food. Kid’s meal was tiny and the side of grapes was inedible. Mac & cheese special was good but pricey at $25. Side salad that came with my sandwich was excellent, much larger than expected and quality ingredients–lots of veggies–not just iceberg lettuce and a few tomatoes like other places. We sat outside on the patio, nice atmosphere, which was good since we were there for over 2 hours. I wish they would have been up front about the wait times.

Looking for a new place and remembered this place in Long Grove. We were glad we did. Great list of appetizers. We split a wedge salad. Wings and chips and salsa. But the best part was the Apple pie in brown bag which they get from Elegant farmer. It was amazing. The other items on menu looked good as well.
