My husband and I had supper here while visiting DI in late October. Because it’s right across the street from the condo we were staying at, we could easily walk there. The space felt very fresh, airy, and new with a touch of fancy. Perfect for a date night. As a non-meat eater, I was able to find several food items I could eat. The food was pretty good. Light and refreshing, not a heavy meal by any means. I did leave a tiny bit hungry. We ordered an appetizer that never arrived, but we weren’t charged for it so we didn’t bring it up. They have a big selection of wine that you can purchase by the bottle. I’m not a big wine drinker but I’m sure someone who enjoys wine winks this place! It didn’t feel very kid-friendly but that’s not a bad thing! The cocktails were amazing, the seasonal Pumpkin Cider Sangria was my favorite. Would likely go back!

Very dog friendly deck. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our server brought out a water bowl and a special treat for our pup. The food and drinks were very good. We had the club and the turkey wrap. Both were great and had AMAZING sides. The orzo and the corn salad were so good! I highly recommend trying this place out. At first glance it looks like a wine and cheese bar, but it is so much more.

My husband and I celebrated our 19 year wedding anniversary on Dauphin Island. We invited 14 members of our friends and family down to the island to enjoy a cocktail hour in our rented beach house followed by dinner for the entire group at this restaurant. None of us had ever been here before and all arrangements were made over the phone.

Well, LET ME TELL YOU!! This little spot was absolute perfection for a group this size! It’s especially perfect if you want a very intimate setting without the inconveniences of hosting a full dinner at home. On arrival we were able to occupy an entire bench/couch-like set up so that we were all able to sit together and enjoy each other’s company the same way that we did while we were at the beach house. The wait staff was PHENOMENAL with our group, making sure that everyone was comfortable and all questions or concerns were addressed. The drinks were absolutely delicious and the food was so good that we requested that we have an opportunity to speak with the chef at the end of the meal to thank her for such a great job. I think the least favorite item ordered was the meatballs but they were still delicious according to those who ordered them. They just seemed to be missing a much needed additional “layer” of something added to the dish to make it more complete. The greens and grits options were definitely a favorite in our group. Our server, Kim, made everyone feel right at home and she was soooo attentive!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We were definitely a bit more loud and rowdy than the usual vibe of the restaurant, but the locals tolerated us for that couple of hours and the workers all got a good chuckle out of it. One thing that I will point out is, our group of 16 occupied about 75 percent of the INSIDE seating at this restaurant, with only one other small table inside and about 10-12 bar seats left for others who came in after us. Just be aware of this if you choose this spot. They don’t accept reservations but we were able to put a “soft hold” on our seating since it was planned for a Sunday afternoon/evening, which is not a busy time for them. I only mention this because, out of respect for others who may want to dine inside and the limited dining options on the island, I would recommend that you limit your dining experience to 1.5 to 2 hours max, but that is just my opinion. There was no time restraint placed on our dining experience.

All in all, I would say this place is worth a stop. If you are looking for some good wine and cocktails while enjoying a laid back vibe, give this spot a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Incredible doesn’t even begin to cover it!!! This is the perfect date spot on the island!! Our drinks were delicious, we had a fantastic seafood tower, and the atmosphere is unmatched. The staff was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. So grateful to have a place with such a curated and expansive wine selection. The elevated dishes and beautiful view can’t be beat!!

This is a spot the rest of Mobile County should be jealous of. It’s tucked away near the West End of Dauphin Island and well worth the drive. The wine selections are well thought out, the menu is creative but paired down to a level that will please everyone, while also being elevated enough to satisfy a discerning palate. The atmosphere is a combination of easygoing and upscale. You won’t find any kitschy island vibes in here. Ashley, our server was fantastic and the speciality market is an added bonus.

To be clear on how genuine this review is, I just had to recover my password so I could resign in to leave this.

Vibes-10/10
Drinks-solid selection, a craft person like myself had great choices and variety, wine friend had (really good I think) options, cocktails were across the board well made and honestly priced.
Food-one of the best charcuterie boards we’ve had overall. Again, honestly priced, wonderful flavor, and solid presentation.
Staff has been enjoyable, prompt, wine counter helpful and personable. Keeping the vibes a wonderful mix of laid back and elevated.

Overall this place is just knockin it out the park. Been everyday on our trip. Good views, great energy.

Fantastic experience! We were seated right away and had our drink order taken. We started out with some of their delicious scones, the fruit was a nice touch. I went for my main the adult grilled cheese with French onion soup. Both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I would definitely stop by again!

The menu here is far finer than any other I found on the island during my week stay. The atmosphere is a step up as well. I saw those watermelon radishes and was anticipating greatness! If only the cook were a little more responsible with the quality of ingredients they send out for people to eat, this would be the star of the island. The shrimp I added to my salad smelled off and the strawberries were sliced a long time before they were presented to me. The onion dip had a really great flavor…until the jalapeño aftertaste was unbearable. Just needs a little more descerning chef in the kitchen.

What a special treat on the Island, this is a destination restaurant you don’t want to miss out on. The food is outstanding, the service is wonderful and the wine shop is fantastic. My sister-in-law contacted the Carriage to request that they create a Birthday Basket for my 60th birthday and they created a fabulous basket filled with wine, cheeses, nuts, crackers, the works! We enjoyed it on the deck of our rental several nights while watching the sun set. Thank you to Lori who put the basket together with all of my favorite snacks. I appreciate the great effort. The food and service was not just very good, it was perfect. I felt like I was in an episode of “The Bear”. As we were sitting down the bar tender brought us each a nice tall glass of ice water. I was thinking just what I needed after spending most of the day on the beach. It just kept getting better from there. The drinks were the best I ever had. The food was all spot on, as good as it gets. The staff were very friendly, attentive and pleasant. Was like a five star restaurant without the five star price.
