Very casual joint, chicken and chorizo burrito bowl was good. The bowl had lots of flavor but was definitely enhanced with the addition of the sauces on the table. The shrimp pupusa was really good; would definitely like to try their other flavors.
My friend ordered the birria torta and was very disappointed. It was absolutely massive but had very very little meat on it and was generally a bit soggy even before using the consomme.

Stopped in to grab a quick bite to take home before heading to work. I ordered two of the Al Pastor tacos. Fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The spiced pork paired with the sweet pineapple was *chef’s kiss*. Cilantro, onion, and lime wedge was a simple, yet lovely addition. Tacos were each served with two soft corn tortillas. Perfect to hold the very generous amount of filling. Service was fast and friendly. Might even go back tomorrow to try something different.

This place is as authentic as it gets. The blend of both Mexican and Salvadorrian favorites ensures there is something for everyone to enjoy. The meats are all hand chopped and seasoned to perfection. The ingredients are authentic and high quality. You won’t find better tacos anywhere else in the tri-state area! The papusas are hand-made and pressed to order. Prices are fair, and the food is excellent.

SO good! We’ve come a few times and picked up lunch or dinner and we’ve been delighted every time. We are mostly gluten free and there are so many things we can eat here! Everything we’ve gotten has been delicious – seasoned well, large portions, great fair prices. We drive almost 20 minutes to get here – worth the trip every time. We will be consistent customers!

I saw Mimi’s when I drove by today and placed an order to pick up on my way back home. I REALLY like Pork Papusas that I get from a little Mexican restaurant in DC and this is the 1st local place I’ve came across the has them so I had to give them a try. I ordered 1 pork and 1 birria Papusa. My son ordered the Tacos De Asada and Arroz Chaufa(Peruvian fried rice). He said his tacos were good and I tried the rice, it was good. The papusas were pretty good, but not quite as good as what I was hoping for. The sauce that came with it is really thin, it’s normally a bit thicker where I get it. Overall it is good and if you like Papusas or never had one before, it’s worth checking out. My suggestion is to get the plain pork one.

There’s pupuserías…then there’s Mimi’s. This restaurant stands out above other pupuserías in my local area not only for the home cooked, made-to-order, style of the food but also for the friendliness of the staff.
The pupusas and tamales are genuinely great. The highlight for me were the Esquites…talk about flavor explosion in every nook and cranny of your mouth; limey creamy, salt, savory…drool. The curtido (pickled veggies) is especially good because it’s not overly spicy like other places make it. It’s just right!
You will not be disappointed! Go!

I’ve been craving traditional authentic pupusas and traveled from Martinsburg WV to get a taste. First-time customer & will not be the last. The food was absolutely amazing & did not disappoint. Service was friendly & the atmosphere was small, cozy & beautiful. Highly recommended!!

First off I was really excited to try this place! It was truly disappointing. The chicken was so dry and had and old taste to it like a dig smell like. There was seasoning I guess but no flavor. The rice was also bland and dry. They also forgot 2 things on my order. I just threw it away. Will never go back. They know what they are serving and should be ashamed to take others hard earned money.
