This waterside restaurant seats 85 inside and an additional 40 on the garden patio that overlooks the harbor and offers the best sunset views in all of Maine. New to the facility is a conference room that accommodates up to 60 people and also offers panoramic harbor views. With all that Carousel Marina has to offer, they are able to provide the best experience available for the cruising family in Maine.

Labor Day weekend 2022. Along with exquisite views of Boothbay Harbor from the dining room or the patio, the dining experience was excellent. Under new ownership the new owner and staff were knowledgeable and courteous. We wish them well and look forward to next year.

Both of us got the clam chowder, which was very good. I got the mussels which were good but the broth could have been just a little bit better. Hubby had the fried scallops, haddock and shrimp plate was great also.

My family and I vacationed in Boothbay Harbor this past week. We ate at Whales Tail 3 times because it was so good. They are under new management this year, the restaurant was purchased by the same person who owns many of the restaurants in Boothbay. We went on opening night and there were some bumps but the staff was so friendly and the food was good so we came back, and it just kept getting better. Try the seared tuna, or the seafood pasta. We will definitely miss this restaurant!

This is a fantastic outdoor location with a stunning view of the harbor. That’s why I’m giving it a 2 star review. The food and service were both terrible. My friend ordered a mojito – it took a while and it arrived without alcohol! My other friend ordered the grilled haddock sandwich and could not even eat it because it was so poorly prepared. And my chicken sandwich was right off the Sysco truck and poorly prepared. We were the only ones in the restaurant, so I know it wasn’t because they were so busy. I would advise just about any other restaurant in Boothbay Harbor.

Excellent!! I had a blast tonight and I will definitely go back. I was very happy with my tuna appetizer and with my baby back ribs. I highly recommend those! Food, atmosphere, view and service were great. I’m lucky to live only couple of blocks away. I will definitely be back!
