My husbands steak was PERFECTLY medium, sides all great.
I, unfortunately, got the baked pork chops with tricolor carrots with a pomegranate reduction and the carrots came out very uncooked and almost cold in their crispy middles. The chops on the other hand, were very over cooked and bone dry. I had to carve on in. The sauce was good and I try to juice up the chops but alas , I just had some of the hubbys steak.
We asked for the creme brûlée but they didn’t have it.
We will come back again to have another steak or maybe a sandwich during the week.
The staff was GREAT!! Our waitress was disappointed about my food and offered a discount. We loved her!
The restaurant was fast, decorated beautifully and we could even see the game from our table.
Can’t wait for our next time here!
I ordered the Texas Red Fish and a Mexican Candy drink; both were delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The drink had the sweet and spicy kick I wanted.
The place was quite busy, but our server, Zoey, was fantastic. She was clearly busy but still very friendly and attentive. We never felt like we were waiting for her, which I appreciated.
The only reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars is the wait for the food and the noise level. It took longer than expected for our food to arrive, and it was pretty loud inside, which made it hard to talk at times. But honestly, the food and service made up for it.
Not the worst meal I’ve ever had, but definitely not rushing back.
We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer, they arrived quickly and tasted great.
My wife ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl for her dinner and I ordered chicken fried steak with a side salad.
The side salad was a bowl of lettuce with three slices of tomatoes on it so nothing special. The chicken fried steak however was massive and tasted great! The steak fries were ok. Overall for roughly $17 it was worth the price.
My wife’s meal was a different story. First let me say the portion was huge but quantity isn’t always everything. She ordered teriyaki but this dish had heat, as in spice, and I’ve never known teriyaki to have this kind of heat. The vegetables were crunchy and not seasoned. For $22 it just didn’t feel that she got what she ordered. She still ate what she could as the chicken had good flavor, just to much heat.
Then for dessert we split a slice of Pina colada cheesecake and it was delicious!
Overall the experience was a good one. The server was great. She was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance of the place was very nice. It felt like this was probably the nicest place in town.
I’m glad we tried this place while we were in town but I think maybe if the teriyaki is that spicy they should put that on the menu for the folks that don’t want spicy.
