New to town and walked in excited to have a great dinner in a beautiful restaurant. Great service, Zoey was able to help me find a wine and we ordered an appetizer from the Specials board. The fried zucchini was fresh, cooked perfectly and great ranch to dip in.
My husbands steak was PERFECTLY medium, sides all great.
I, unfortunately, got the baked pork chops with tricolor carrots with a pomegranate reduction and the carrots came out very uncooked and almost cold in their crispy middles. The chops on the other hand, were very over cooked and bone dry. I had to carve on in. The sauce was good and I try to juice up the chops but alas , I just had some of the hubbys steak.
We asked for the creme brûlée but they didn’t have it.
We will come back again to have another steak or maybe a sandwich during the week.
The staff was GREAT!! Our waitress was disappointed about my food and offered a discount. We loved her!
The restaurant was fast, decorated beautifully and we could even see the game from our table.
Can’t wait for our next time here!

Our first time here. Service was quick and friendly. My hamburger steak and steamed veggies were excellent. Glenda and Reesa said their chicken fry and filet were absolutely delicious. Too full for any of the amazing desserts. Definitely recommended and will go again.

This is my first review. My husband and I moved to Snyder a few weeks ago, and we had lunch at The Butcher’s Block this afternoon. Overall, we had a really good experience.

I ordered the Texas Red Fish and a Mexican Candy drink; both were delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The drink had the sweet and spicy kick I wanted.

The place was quite busy, but our server, Zoey, was fantastic. She was clearly busy but still very friendly and attentive. We never felt like we were waiting for her, which I appreciated.

The only reason I’m not giving a full 5 stars is the wait for the food and the noise level. It took longer than expected for our food to arrive, and it was pretty loud inside, which made it hard to talk at times. But honestly, the food and service made up for it.

Great dining option in Snyder. Buzzing restaurant and bar on the main drag. Sat at the bar and the service was very quick, attentive and friendly. Beer ice cold, CFS arrived quickly and too hot to eat, but very good and generous portion. Gotta say, green beans may be the best ever-slightly sweet and loaded with bacon. Will definitely stop again in the way through.

Stopped in for a burger, and I’ll give them this: it was fresh. But that’s where the compliments end. Zero flavor, and so greasy it was practically waterfalling out the bun. I shouldn’t need napkins, a drip pan, and a prayer just to eat a burger.

Not the worst meal I’ve ever had, but definitely not rushing back.

My wife and I were in town and decided to have dinner at The Butcher Block. On the website it said they were open until 10, when we arrived at 8 there was a sign on the door that read they were closing at 9. That being said the service was still excellent and we never felt rushed.
We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer, they arrived quickly and tasted great.
My wife ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl for her dinner and I ordered chicken fried steak with a side salad.
The side salad was a bowl of lettuce with three slices of tomatoes on it so nothing special. The chicken fried steak however was massive and tasted great! The steak fries were ok. Overall for roughly $17 it was worth the price.
My wife’s meal was a different story. First let me say the portion was huge but quantity isn’t always everything. She ordered teriyaki but this dish had heat, as in spice, and I’ve never known teriyaki to have this kind of heat. The vegetables were crunchy and not seasoned. For $22 it just didn’t feel that she got what she ordered. She still ate what she could as the chicken had good flavor, just to much heat.
Then for dessert we split a slice of Pina colada cheesecake and it was delicious!
Overall the experience was a good one. The server was great. She was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance of the place was very nice. It felt like this was probably the nicest place in town.
I’m glad we tried this place while we were in town but I think maybe if the teriyaki is that spicy they should put that on the menu for the folks that don’t want spicy.

Was seated quickly but no one came to get drink orders or help us for over 10 minutes. The tea we ordered was soured was not good at. I asked a server if we could get something else she never came back the server we had didn’t come check on us at all. So there we sat. No service at all. We finally got her attention and she acted like she was mad.. another 20 mins went by we finally got out food. Mind you it was not busy it was like 12:40. Had to ask for the check. Then had to go hunt someone to pay because we only had an hour for lunch. We were late. I was helping out an office. Not from Snyder. Won’t go back there to eat.

4 – Different entrees, all perfect, CF Steak, Red Fish, and two burgers that are real beef and seemingly homemade buns, fresh hand cut fries. Friday night all of Snyder was here eating. Look at the specials on the board. Great dinner and enjoyable evening. From Fort Worth passing through.

Recently attended a dinner celebrating the Snyder High School Class of 1955’s 70th reunion. I didn’t catch the name of our server but talk about an incredible asset to this establishment! She handled numerous individual checks throughout the group of over 20 with ease and was super organized, efficient, professional and so kind and courteous to everyone. The food was SUPER! We don’t get back to Snyder very often but will definitely try to make time for another meal here at this restaurant.
