As a first timer, it was really delicious bbq and food. We got there like 20 minutes opening and the line was already out the door. I suggest getting there really early. The line moves really quickly though. The fun part is they give you a special call out name after you order. Awesome place, go gotcha some!

This was our first time here, the current construction on the highway bridge makes it a tad annoying of a detour, no fault of the restaurant, just be prepared.
We had heard there would be a line and showed up about 10:45. The line was already formed outside and didn’t realize it wrapped twice inside as well. The hour wait wasnt bad and for only having one person operating the orders, it went semi-fast, but sure seems like it would be better to have 2 or 3 taking orders instead. Only saw 3 employees during our visit. The line seems to indicate more employees needed than great food….
We ordered the Meat Locker so we would be able to try a variety of items. My wife did not like any of the sides, the beans are certainly odd, but somehow it works. The Tator Tot casserole was probably our favorite. The mac & cheese was def the least favorite.
As for the meats, the brisket was ok, had just as good from various BBQ joints. The sausage was not a winner. The pulled pork was excellent and the ribs were certainly worth the wait, excellent flavor and very tender. The chicken was, well chicken, nothing really stood out to us.
Wish we would have tried the burnt ends, maybe next time. The twinkies were good for the ride home and remaining trip cruising Route 66.
Would recommend stopping by and checking it out early, certainly attracts a large crowd, would not claim this to be the best BBQ I have had, but the ribs would be close and is worth a try, lot of great reviews.

Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had! The burnt ends are like meat candy and the ribs will ruin you for eating them anywhere else. The sides are also inventive and delicious. This is a destination BBQ joint that is totally worth the trip. Show up early if you want your pick of all the meats, and bring an appetite!

Place opens at 11, but they start letting you in at 10. We got there a little after 10 and there was a line. I recommend being there no later than 10:30 of you want to have your pick of whatever they have. They also have a to go section. You can order your stuff to go, pick it up and still eat there and skip the line!
We ordered the platter that had everything. Sausages were my favorite. Turkey had a nice smoke flavor to it. Chicken was good. Brisket was okay. All were in unison on that. Maybe an individual portion would have been better. Pulled pork was really good. Ribs were good.
Sides:
Apple pie baked beans-weird and not in a good way. Too sweet. Do not recommend. Think beans dumped in an apple pie.
Potato Salad-,Good
Tater tot casserole-Best thing by all of us. Definitely get this.
Pickles and onions-I have had better pickles, but those onions….I would eat those all day. Recommend these.
Mac n Cheese-it was good as well. Not the best, but definitely worth getting!
Everyone was getting the nachos, so I would definitely go back and get those and that tator tot casserole because it was just that good.
They have a bar and a bar lounge like Grandpa’s living room you can also hang out in.
Definitely give this place a visit! Not the best BBQ, but definitely one of these best we have had in the state.

Our first visited, suggested by our son and DIL. Worth the wait! Bad storms, pouring rain knocked out the power. Nevertheless, a large crowded waited out the storm, inside the restaurant, in the dark, until they officially opened. A limited range of options were available to go, to start with. However, once the power came back on (with cheers by all), the full menu was available for take out or dine in.

We arrived about 12:15 and the line was along the building and wound one turn inside. There’s one guy taking orders so you wait until the counter clears to step up. The kitchen is fast and about 5 minutes later our name was called. They were already out of brisket so I had to settle for “burnt ends” which were fatty but the order taker said was the same price. I said “ok”, but the receipt says I and my wife were charged an extra $3 each for fatty “burnt ends”. In my mind, settling for fatty instead of lean should cost less instead of an uncharge. Also, the tip percentage includes the tax which drives up the amount shown on the electronic credit card terminal. I’m not a fan of the super sweet apple pie baked beans, but others at my table liked it. Well, I made the drive from OKC and tried it, spending a total of $64.23 for two including drink, lunch, tax and tip. I’m disappointed but you may love it.

The barbecue was amazing, the best brisket I ever had. And the iced tea was good, and there were a lot of people and it was perfect

I have heard so many good things about this place and how amazing and delicious the food is and they have won many awards so I decided to try it. I ordered the Meat locker which was $82.00, it had a variety of meats and your able to choose from several sides. I can’t begin to express my disappointment in the food. The turkey was dry and had no flavor, the brisket was dry, the shredded pork was dry as well. The sausages were ok but looked almost gray, the chicken quarters although they looked beautiful were also tasteless. None of the meats had any flavor of smokiness from being smoked, the meats (except sausages)lacked seasoning. The ribs were tender but lacked flavor and the baked beans were so sweet and thick and were disgusting, there were no fried options like fries or okra. The coleslaw and pickles and onions were the best of the whole meal ( any other BBQ place gives pickles, onions and jalapenos for free but is a choice as a side here) and they gave small portions also and all of their BBQ sauces are just overly sweet (even the spicy BBQ sauce) I’m from Texas where our BBQ is tender and full flavor and nothing is over powered with sweetness so I was just shocked and greatly disappointed in the quality of the food which I spent so much money on. I will say their customer service was great and the guy that took my order was awesome. I will never eat here again and I really should have gotten a refund. The people that recommended this place said the quality of their food was not how it had been before and they were disappointed as well. In a time when money is precious and eating out can be a special treat for folks this is truly a disappointment. Just wow!

1st time and was not impressed. Ribs were soggy, no flavor and no smoke. Burnt ends were okay but I have had better. Jalapeño sausage had no spice. Mac Cheese was disgusting, dry and flavorless. Apple beans had a weird flavor. On top of that I paid extra for ribs and burnt ends. Best thing was atmosphere. For champion BBQ I expected more.

We were driving route 66 and had this down as a stop we got there around 1030 and were last to get in the door the line took around an hour. We got the sampler to try a bit of everything. The ribs were amazing. Brisket, turkey and sausages were great. We don’t really like pulled pork but it was fine and the chicken we were full and couldn’t eat. The sides the beans were a bit strange but the coleslaw and potato salad were great. But the ribs we travelled for 80 days after this to the south and texas and didn’t find anywhere that came close to these ribs. A true gem.
