Wow, this place used to be the wurst (it was a hotdog joint) and now it is the BEST! Let me tell you why. The Burrow is about a half block away from the famous, historic plaza of Healdsburg. First, when you walk in, there is a pretty good chance you will be greeted warmly by the manager/chef/owner David. You will note the decor immediately. It is an open plan restaurant with a bar to your left and tables center and right. The colors are great as is the lighting. There are inside and outside seating options. The menu has a wide array of choices and offers something for every palate, even kids. The Brussels Sprouts have a nice char and are made with chunks of applewood smoked bacon and maple syrup sweetness. I have never been here and not succumbed to the temptation of this dish. But, if you want to go wild on apps, pair the Brussels with the duck fat potatoes. Cooked to perfection in hot duck fat, they are amazing. I have had the citrus salad and loved it. My wife raves about the Mushroom Risotto and the Chicken piccata and I can guaranty that she is not easily impressed by any restaurant. Most recently, I had the Shrimp Arribiatta and asked our served Destiny (who was great) if they could spice that up a bit. David came out and asked if I wanted it Thai hot. I said “almost Thai hot.” Man did he hit the mark. The shrimp dish was amazing with tomato flavors that stood up to the heat. If you can take the spice, ask for it kicked up a bit. I have also had the Fried Chicken Sandwich on another occasion which I loved. The chicken was cooked to perfection, hot and moist inside and crispy crunchy outside. Fabulous with its spicy slaw and pickled jalapeños, all served on a brioche bun. But wait, there’s more. The special cake desert was pumpkin spice and it was to die for, maybe even to kill for. So moist and flavorful. If you don’t love this place, that may be a you thing. I’m not on the payroll, but I wish I was. I’d take my pay in meals.

I thought the food was fresh and salmon cooked perfectly! Although it took 20 minutes to come out as it was only a salad/small piece of salmon and mostly empty inside customer wise. As a non-californian the prices were a bit much for the portion in my opinion, but I enjoyed supporting the local business. I was surprised that there was a 3% credit card tax, I would’ve paid cash had I known.

Overall, I would give this 5 stars because the food was amazing, service was really nice even though it was one person. I would get the fried chicken sandwich because it was juicy and tender. It’s a nice family business, so be sure to come!also, there were Halloween decorations

This fried chicken sandwich and fries were phenomenal.

The chicken was perfectly crispy outside, juicy and tender inside, packed with flavor in every bite. The toasted bun, fresh pickles, and sauce tied it all together without overpowering anything. A finely crafted sandwich.

And the fries? Hot, crispy, and dangerously addictive — the kind you can’t stop reaching for. Don’t miss the sauces, The aioli’s here are show stoppers.

Simple, classic, and absolutely delicious. Already craving it again. A Friday treat to myself that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Very fair price for locally sourced high quality food. Highly recommend!!!

We had a good first dinner at The Burrow. The staff were very nice and attentive. We had the Duck Banh Mi and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were delicious, and the spice level on the chicken sandwich was just right. We decided to try the ice cream sandwich as well and the cookies were soft and chewy. One nicety is that you can scan a QR code to pay and split the check with your companions if needed.

Fabulous new place! Actually family-friendly and reasonably priced. My father is extremely picky and LOVED the salmon dish. They have a great menu, a nice mix of classics (Mac and cheese) and fancier stuff (duck) – the chicken sandwich and smash burger were both delightful, complete with nice crispy fries! Large drink menu of local beers, non-alcoholic stuff too, like organic sodas, and lemonade. Really fresh decor and FAST friendly service. We’ll definitely come back again soon!

I took a gal pal of mine to celebrate her new job. This is a great spot- with a seasonal eclectic menu, fresh ingredients and a personal spin on Old classics. Elise and David could not have been kinder or more friendly in an authentic and warm manner. Great vibe! We started with the carrot and goat cheese tartines. This was an original and fun dish. The slight tang of the goat cheese contrasted beautifully with the sweetness of the carrots while the bread was crusty, yummy goodness and the fresh parsley provided a nice brightness. Next we moved on to the Cobb salad and the establishment had no problem with our requests to have the dressing and the blue cheese on the side- appreciated!!! For our main we had the shrimp pasta Arrabbiatta. This was (in my mind) the highlight, although dang those tartines were tasty! There was a zesty spice to the sauce that woke up your palette without overwhelming you. The sauce was also a bit lighter than typical, which was perfect with the delicacy of the shrimp (cooked to perfection btw). Dessert was a housemade ice cream sandwich made with brownie cookies. Delish! I should also mention that we had a wonderful bottle of GSM and a glass of bubbly Prosecco (dry, not too sweet) as it was a celebration after all. We split dishes however that was our spin and the menu is not a tapas one. We just wanted to order more things than we could eat on our own. 🙂 I’ve tried to include a fair number of pictures so that you all can see what a gem this restaurant is. Hope you enjoy!!!

We loved our Brunch experience at The Burrow! Such a great addition to Healdsburg. Perfectly situated right off the square. Patio is completely shaded and delightful. We ordered the potatoes, side salad, poached eggs w/ polenta, biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles and the breakfast sandwich. There was no weak link but I especially loved the biscuits and gravy. Can’t wait to be back!

The smash burger was amazing. Chef knows how to make a flavorful aioli sauce. The proprietor knows his wines and beers too. My only regret was we left the area the next day and didn’t get to come back to try other options.

Had an awesome experience at the Burrow tonight. Wife and I are traveling with our 7 year old, and eating out has been a bit of a struggle on this trip. We were in search of a place that was both kid friendly, but also serving good food and drinks – and the Burrow totally delivered. Great food, excellent wine (plus a bonus – great NA drink options for me).

Couldn’t have been happier with our experience!
