I’ve been coming to burrito window since they opened in Tahoe city in the 2010s, and it’s always been a favorite of mine and other Tahoe friends. However, I’m writing this as I (along with some local friends) think the quality & consistency of their food has decreased the last few years.
Recent burritos have been rice heavy, dry, and the flavoring of the rice often overpowers the burrito. Additionally, they used to be known for loading burritos with guacamole when you added it (back when quac was $1.50 to $2.50). Now quac is about $4, and barely any is added to their burritos.
I hope the owners read this and try to do better! I will happily come back to edit this review if food quality increases in the future

Sad burrito, got the carne asada burrito. It tasted like it was seasoned with a basic Mexican seasoning packet. The meat texture was more like ground beef than steak. Can’t say I recommend this place.

The burritos were terrible. Our rice was crunchy (undercooked?) and the flavors were not good. There was mostly rice in my burrito, very little beans. And the tortilla was barely toasted and felt stale as it was cracked all over from being folded. I think it’s the worst burrito I’ve ever had. Also, this is not really a place to sit and linger. It’s grab and go even though there are some tables inside.
