First time eating a Philly cheese steak in Philadelphia. Larry’s steak restaurant was recommended. The food was good, the atmosphere is what I would have imagined a Philadelphia take out restaurant should be, and a first time memory with my family. I would recommend eating at Larry’s.

This was one of my favorite cheesesteaks but they don’t have any integrity or customer service. I traveled to get a cheesesteak and once home, I realized they didn’t include the extra toppings I paid for and they added onions (which I don’t eat). I paid for extra cheese and mushrooms. When I called, they told me to come back with the uneaten cheesesteak and the receipt whenever I could. This is the second time they charged me for topping they did not provide. It should not be on the customer to drive 30 minutes to fix their mistake.

Order delivery (cheesesteak and a antipasta salad with extra oil and vinegar). Cheesesteak is very slim (no real meat on it) and the meat in the salad is bologna out of pack. Paid $44 for disgusting food. Should have listen to the reviews.

Went here expecting a cheesy, cheesesteak, instead I got a cheesesteak with hardly any cheese. I admit disappointment. I was expecting their product to be very cheesy. It was short on cheese. The steak part was seasoned decently. They give you a good tasting product. But if you are expecting a lot of creamy gooey cheese, you will be disappointed. I got my sandwich with tomatoes, onions mayonnaise and ketchup. I paid about $17 and a little more. They need to put more cheese in that sandwich.
Yes, I’d go back to this establishment, but only if I was very hungry and needed a bite now and it was open.
The staff is very attentive and courteous. Very nice people. The place seemed quiet. They do have bathrooms for men and for women.

#1 Young lady at register agitated, cant hear her, no eye contact, customer service was non-existent!
#2 award winning cheese steak hype . It’s absolutely the worst cheese steak I have ever had. Frozen sirloin squares, hardly any onions, mayo was wiped off on the roll that almost made me gag there was so much, 2 bites i spit it out.
#3 No meat on the roll!!! Belly filler!!!!! I don’t think so!!! $15.00 I felt ripped off.
Sorry, no greeting from owners, register lady, no greeting, no eye contact, the hype about the great steak is ridiculous. Price was ridiculous, too, especially when Philly cheese steaks are 100% ribeye roasts slivered down, not frozen squares.
I’ll never go back.

This is my updated 2024 review:
The customer service was laughably bad. No greeting, no eye contact, no smile. I gave my number and for a plain cheese steak no extras it was $15.50+ tax. It was light at best. The meat has a lot of gristle and the cheese tastes like something you buy in 50lb chunks from Costco. The bread is generic and somehow stale and too soft at the same time. The college that is literally next door was in full swing and it is very telling that during lunch not a single college student was in there. The decor looks musty and seems like it hasn’t been upgraded in two decades. The cooks are up and front but look like they are being held against their will. No one seems happy or even remotely passionate about their choice of career. I will NOT be going back.
