Fried tenderloin was great. My daughter like her cheeseburger. We finished our meal with sundaes. Delicious. No dine in, but the weather was fine to eat on their patio. A little drive off of I 69, but well worth it.

This is my favorite place in Auburn! It’s classic, modern, everything at once! I was there for a week and I got to try half the milkshakes they’ve had and also the tenderloin, grilled cheese, etc. I got completely obsessed with the cherry chocollat milk shake!

The best coney dog I’ve ever had, I definitely recommend if you’re in the Auburn area! Also, all prices are tax included, so if you have 10 bucks, you can get 10 bucks worth of stuff, no extra math needed.

5 years ago when I left the original review until now, the brown house has definitely changed, as does everything when it switches ownership. A family favorite has always been the fried califlower. You used to get alot more for less money. I think the last time I went, we got about 5 or 6 in an order. I understand the costs of everything has gone up and in order to run a business, you have to do what you have to do. I was just sad to only get that many. lol

5 mushrooms are in the order, and the coney dog is even smaller than last year. For what I paid for two coney dogs and five mushrooms, I could have ordered a steak meal from AppleBees. I’m glad to see that the owner responded. However, it doesn’t change the fact that a small hot dog and five mushrooms is what I received. And while the owner did take the time to research the cost of a steak at Applebee’s, they failed to consider that after spending a few more dollars there, you would actually feel as though you ate a meal, vs the snack that I paid too much money for. They are caught with the screaming high prices of food, no doubt. However, the quality is no where near what it used to be, at least if what was delivered to me is anything to judge them by. While I can appreciate the exploding inflation and its weight on every small business, the 3 oz of fried mushrooms I received was ridiculous. There is no reason in the world that I should buy my son a quick meal and then have to continue feeding him because he is still hungry. And yes, we took the time to dig out pictures from a past trip there and either those hot dogs are much smaller or my hands have begun to magically grow. Good luck in your endeavors, should we need a quick bite, we’ll continue to use JimmyJohns or Subway.

Heard great things about this place, so I asked my husband to get me a shake with extra extra cookie dough; and all I got was vanilla ice cream or vanilla shake, no cookie dough flavoring just plain vanilla soft serve. I understand being busy, will try something different next time

This little place is an icon. My mom and aunts used to bring me here when I was little, and it was always a treat. While visiting with my aunt a couple of weeks ago, I asked her what she’d like for lunch. To my delight, she responded with The Brown House. There was a bit of a line, and thus a bit of a wait, but I promise you it was worth the time. Thanks for the memories and great food, Brown House. I’ll be back again.
