Another great find! The chicken fajita nachos are surprisingly neat, and impressively delicious! The chicken fried steak was HUGE and tender at a great price point! And the fries were incredible. They were seasoned well, crispy and browned. I would say the side of Mac and cheese was unfortunately pretty bland and unimpressive compared to the other items. We had to add a significant amount of salt and pepper. My fajitas were pretty good! The steak was tender and cut thin. It had a tasty seasoning and overall I was impressed. Especially compared to other non-Hispanic restaurants. All staff was very friendly, though we found it off that they never once came by to take away empty dishes that cluttered the table. It took a little longer than comfortable to be checked up on, on occasion, but nothing unacceptable. The atmosphere here is generally very clean and cute! It is aesthetically pleasing and colorful. Unfortunately I find it unnecessary and unprofessional to display pride flags throughout the place, especially when no other flags are present. For that reason, I’m not sure if we will frequent the establishment, however if that is your thing, the whole vibe is very enjoyable!

Generous portion sizes and a menu where it was hard to narrow down my choice because it all looked so good! Definitely will have to make a return trip to check out more of the menu.

Clean dining and friendly staff. That’s about all the nice things I can say about our trip to The Brook. I was pretty put off that someone from the kitchen didn’t wash their hands after using the restroom. The fish and chips I’m pretty sure was Gordon’s frozen fish. The fries and fried pickles were pretty good. The hair in the tartar sauce was a real bummer. They serve a certain brand of malt vinegar that doesn’t have much flavor. I would have left a bigger tip for our server but they decided to automatically add a tip for me. I know that’s not the server’s fault and I feel bad that she lost an extra six dollars on her tip. I just feel like I don’t like being told how much to tip.

I tried fried mushrooms for.the first time, I’ve never liked mushrooms and these were really good! Dipped in ranch. The menu mentioned chicken breast marinated in their special house marinade so that made me curious. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and the flavor on the chicken was really good! I will say the chicken itself was over cooked and very dry. I asked the waitress if I could have some sauce on the side for it, but she said they marinate the chicken in it so they can’t give me any, because of the raw chicken that’s soaking in it. The bun was dry too so that didn’t help. The tater tots were tasty that came with it, and like I said the flavor was good. My margarita on the rocks was very good! Super strong. Kelsey makes a good drink!! My friend had the Swiss burger and enjoyed it, she did mention how the bun was dry and not anything special as well. Our waitress was very friendly and nice. Floors were sticky that felt gross but maybe it’s the humidity. I will say I plan on going back.

I love the Brook in general (more so the brookside location) & I love sitting outside on the roof here while I eat, but the service at this location could use some work. First time I came here it took 20min before someone came by to get our order. Every other time I’ve been here it’s been a little slow but not bad. But the food is GREAT!

Always terrible service, no matter what location. Never been actively ignored though, today takes the cake on that. Server ignored multiple tables on the patio. Her teammates tried their best but it took three servers to get the table next to us a bloody Mary sub tequila, ie a Bloody Maria. Server told them drink wasn’t available/make-able. Watched entire sections and table get ignored, and not for the first time. Literally no reliable gluten-free options. Keep moving downtown, there’s better fryer food in ANY direction

I love their salads! Huge portion as any of their items. Forgot the eggs last time but got it after mentioning it. Loaded Mac and Cheese with bacon is the bomb. The only food we didn’t like so far was the fish sandwich. Weird tasting fruity sauce on it, and the whole thing falls apart.

My first time at The Brook and it was beyond basic. I honestly had a hard time choosing what I even wanted. I ended up choosing the Southwest Nachos, where each individual chip was loaded. MAYBE the time it took to actually load each chip is the reason my food was cold. My wife did not enjoy her turkey sandwich at all. The fried pickles were extremely salty. The waitress was rude. My wife told the “manager” she did not like her food at all and he got quiet and finished what he was doing at our table and walked away.

My first time here and it was amazing!! The mac and cheese was really good. It needed to be reheated but other than that it was amazing

The views from the rooftop were amazing! I hope to be able to eat out there in the future. Because of the views, this is my favorite Brook location. My friend (whom I hadn’t seen in a while) invited me to this location, and I’m glad she did.
