Typical diner style food, which is one of my favorites. We did breakfast. Had to, hence the name. Got the skillet, chip beef gravy, an polish sausage. Very good. Place was packed. No long waits.

Incredible food, incredible service, incredible portions for the price. Even the black coffee was good, which is rare. Clean but unassuming, quiet but not dead. Nice bathrooms. They don’t waste your time but don’t rush you out the door either.

Honest Review – A Mixed Experience, but Worth a Second Chance
Where do I begin? I was genuinely excited to have breakfast at The Breakfast Company with my husband. However, when I looked over the menu, nothing really called out to me. Since it was 11:30, I figured I’d go with a lunch option and ordered the chicken salad croissant with French fries. My husband went the traditional route and got the country fried steak with pancakes, eggs, and hash browns.
He thoroughly enjoyed his meal—said the eggs were cooked perfectly and everything tasted great. Unfortunately, my experience was quite the opposite. After one bite of the croissant, I had to spit it out. The chicken was tough, like it had been sitting for too long, and the salad was completely flavorless. The saving grace of that plate? The French fries—they were crispy and well-seasoned.
Now, here’s the bright spot: Katie, our waitress, was absolutely lovely. She was attentive, kind, and incredibly accommodating. She took the inedible croissant off the bill without hesitation and let me order something else instead.
I went with the crepe combo—strawberry and Nutella crêpes, scrambled eggs, and bacon (which I passed to my husband since I don’t eat pork). The eggs were fluffy and delicious, but the crêpes were a letdown. As someone French, I might be picky, but they were undercooked and had an unpleasant old oil taste. I couldn’t take more than a bite.
When Katie came back to check on us, I felt bad having to voice my disappointment again. But really, how can things improve if no one speaks up?
Despite the rocky meal, I do plan to come back and give it another try. Everyone deserves a second chance, and the service here—especially thanks to Katie—was truly exceptional. Plus, my husband left happy and full, so that’s reason enough to return.

It felt like a great place to meet friends and neighbors, but we were traveling through town so it didn’t have that going for us. The breakfast menu was great, but our food arrived with lukewarm grits, room temperature sausage links and pancake, and no applesauce/sour cream for my hub’s potato pancakes. We could not remedy any of this, nor get a refill on coffee, because no staff EVER returned to check on us. Sorry that I cannot recommend this restaurant, we really thought it would be good because the atmosphere has a good vibe.

We sat at the bar, as we usually do because we like to engage with the employees, and it did not disappoint. The manager was our main server and it was easy to see she knows what she is doing. All the employees were courteous, personable, hard working, and showed her respect. They would chat with us and it was just overall one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had. I had the healthy breakfast wrap with fruit and my husband had the French toast platter. Both were yummy. If we didn’t live over 2 hours away, it would definitely be a place we were frequent!

Food is great, wait was short considering the amount of people in que. Service is great. Very systematic way of doing things that keeps everything running smoothly. Food is out quick and tables are bussed promptly.

This may be a new frequent of ours ! The place is huge, so even on a busy Saturday morning, we were seated immediately. It seems to be staffed mostly by high school/college age kids and it was refreshing to see them working efficiently/hard yet still having fun on the job ! The food was really good, and the price point was spot on. The coffee was also delicious, which makes or breaks a breakfast restaurant – bonus points for all of the creamer options !

Love this place whenever we’re coming through I74. It’s about 7 minutes from the interstate, but worth the detour. Food prices are excellent. Lots of choices and different combos that won’t break the bank. Plenty of seating.

I walked into this Crawfordsville establishment expecting a good breakfast experience for me and my boyfriend. I was greeted at the door with such kindness and enthusiasm with the lady host rushing me to my seat! Asking me what drink I wanted before I was seated. Off to a good start! I sat down with my boyfriend, the server came over and asked for our order. The food came relatively quickly, somehow it was cold. Not hot, not warm, not lukewarm, just cold. We sadly ate the food and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited for the waiter to come back with the bill. It wasn’t expensive but the thing that got me was the 3.9% service fee for using my card. Just an awesome experience and place! Don’t come here if you’re under the age of 30 because they will not take you seriously.
