Great place, excellent service. Fajitas are on point, best kids quesadillas in the valley. Plenty of options to change sides on entrees.

We had a reservation for May 12 for my wedding rehersal dinner. Manager had said that we would have a room available for us when I booked in April & paid a reservation fee. We had family coming in from NY, FL, MA, CA, & UT to name a few & we wanted to show them the good food the Valley has. When we arrived at 7:15pm (reservation was at 7:30) they were not ready for us. Which was understandable since we were early. We spoke to the hostess and she was confussed so she called the manager over. The manager said that the previous party was running late so they had sat that party late. Manager then says we only have seats for 15 ppl if you would like some of your party to sit. So we did and the rest either sat outside or went to the bar area to wait to get seated. Our whole party (50 total) did not get seated until 9:00 pm. The servers were both great, they were very attentive and courteous. My hats off to them. The manager was trying his best but obviously needed more help. We did not ask to get compensated for our long wait and the manager never even offered. Neatless to say that we will no longer be making any reservations here. Do a better job Costa Mesa!!!

This place looks a little fancier than we normally go but we wanted to check it out. It was happy hour, they have house margarita for $4, other drink specials and some of their appetizers at half price. We were served chips and 3 different sauces, with different heat. Husband ordered mole enchiladas and I tried the chicken flauta plate. The waiter was okay, but looked like he was either new or didn’t feel like working but his manager was so nice and helpful! We may come back.

Never come and eat at Costa Mesa in McAllen, Texas. That lady in the front was very rude and I came to pick up a order from Uber Eats and she ignored me and another Uber Eats driver. I was there for 30 minutes with less than 15 customers eating.

Service quick and good. My fault for not doing more research on the type of food they serve. It was good just not what I was looking for. Biggest TV I have ever seen.

The place was very good looking when coming in. When first walking in, it was a busy day (Mother’s Day). The hostesses didn’t know the ETA or the wait times if we didn’t arrive back within the window. That wasn’t too much of an issue on our end. We waited and got a couple of drinks as we waited and got our table for 6. The waiter, which was our biggest issue, seemed either non seasoned or simply didn’t care about our table. We ordered our food and specifically asked for chicken tenders for our kids. They brought fried fish for them, which they hate fish. We instantly returned it, and he brought us back what we originally asked. The rest of our order was fine but where the biggest problem was every time we needed refills or more salsa Verde or any other sales and chips it just took him an extremely long time to acknowledge or even remember to visit our table for our needs. We then finished up our food and wanted dessert he took forever to come to our table, and we finally ordered our dessert. When the dessert was ready, he was too busy with his other table, and the manager brought us our desert. By this time, we wanted to leave immediately and pay out. He took forever to bring us our check, and when he did, he had an automatic gratuity on us for 18%. I normally tip 20-25% on excellent service and good service, 15-18% and poor service it’s usually 12-10% I really only wanted to tip 10% but didn’t have the opportunity, so I decided to write this long review, in hopes that management reads this and corrects this behavior. I’ve worked in the restaurant business before, and even when you’re busy, we always acknowledged our customers and put maximum effort to attend their needs even with extreme levels of customers.

So I’ve been here a couple of times, we had my nieces graduation party here and met up with my brother and my sister in law for happy hour and both times have been great. They had a simple menu for the graduation party and happy hour appetizers for 1/2 price which I thought was awesome, no complaints here.

Decent spot with good service. I was impressed to see them juice the limes for their house made margarita mix. My first couple margaritas were good but then I noticed they completely stopped putting triple sec in them making them taste watered down and too citrusy. Flautas were average, tacos were good and I wouldn’t get their queso dip again. Solid HH.

My friend and I went to Costa Mesa Restaurant located on the expressway west of Ware Rd. The place has a nice atmosphere which I immediately noticed walking in. I also noticed the nice bar area to the left of the main entrance. We were seated at a booth in the main dining room. Our super friendly server took our usual iced tea order as we scanned the menu. I ended up choosing the chicken fajitas and my friend ordered the caldo de marisco ( seafood soup). A selection of salsas was given to us, those were a nice tasty starter. Our meals arrived promptly, I was hoping for a bit more of a sizzle coming from the hot skillet. The meals came with tortillas for both of us, they were fresh and just made. The fajitas come with a side plate of rice, beans, guacamole, and lettuce, all the components for some fun taco building. The chicken itself lacked flavor, the peppers and onions gave it flavor but the chicken itself really needed seasoning, however, it was a good sized portion. My friend’s soup was loaded with nice sized pieces of fish and shrimp in a tomato based broth, this too had rice on the side. He really enjoyed it, his only complaint was he wished he would have ordered a bigger bowl. We had tres leches cheesecake for dessert, it was more like regular cake with cheesecake. If you are going to use tres leches in the description, the cake part needs to be super moist. Most tres leches cake you can see the moistness coming out of the cake. This didn’t have that effect, not even close. Overall it was a very good experience and I do plan on going back.

I was there a few days ago, I wasn’t too impressed with our young waitress whose name starts with and A and ends with and e. No smiles at all, I notice in some places when it gets slow, or they have very few customers because of the time of the day the more they want to talk with other coworkers and not work. She did her job but you can just feel the whatever energy or vibe.
