Not a bad little place to grab a bite to eat. The food was good and the flavor was tasteful. The portions were really decent better than most places lately. The coffee was bold which is fantastic. The service was ok, could have been a little quicker but they were busy. The atmosphere was not bad either. The food came out quickly and thats a plus.

This is an informal breakfast place in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. I discovered it recently as a result of wanting to eat breakfast after having a test at the Quest Diagnostic facility which is very close to this restaurant.

There are several suitable breakfast options, most of which involve pancakes. They are good and a great accompaniment to a couple of fried eggs.

The prices for the various food options or combinations are reasonable. Today, I ordered an omelet that left out the onions and peppers. The breakfast also included pancakes and potatoes. I just wanted the omelet minus the pancakes and potatoes. The price for the combination was about $17.95. The price for the omelet without the pancakes and potatoes was also $17.95. As a result of not eating the extra carbs, I paid more than the breakfast was probably worth, but no substitutions allowed.

Our server was very good and apologetic for not being able to discount the meal which was obviously not her fault.

The omelet was large and cooked perfectly. The vegetables were crisp and the tomatoes were fresh. The eggs were cooked and not burned or scorched on a hot griddle.

Completely great dining experience from A to Z. Wonderful hostess and waitresses in a clean, spacious and modern area make an excellent morning especially seriving what has to be the best Chicken Eggs Benedict on the face of this earth. I’ve seen fast food take longer to prepare than this elegant and delicious meal took. The only complaint I have is I didn’t have more time to spend here. Ten times better than I had ever even expected. Wonderful EVERYTHING.

Omelet with grits and Southern Comfort combo. We passed on coffee because it was 3.99 a cup and not knowing if it was good I wasn’t willing to pay 4. to see. Food: sausage had a great taste, pancakes were light/fluffy and good, grits after butter/salt/pepper were stirred in they were perfect, the omelette however has shredded cheese on top but appeared non were cooked in it so it fell apart when trying to eat it. Waitress was Stephanie and she checked on us a few times and was very pleasant.

Spicy steak omelette, fries and strawberry cheese pancakes were amazing. Philly cheese sandwich was bit different. Loved the love from all servers and were very accommodating with our kids. Keep up the good work.

This place is a magical heaven blessed by all the food Gods. The atmosphere is great. It’s clean, the service is excellent and I love how much seating they have for the waiting area. Ok but let’s get to the food. I had the breakfast sandwich with egg, avocado, bacon, spinach and tomato. Every single thing about this sandwich was perfectly cooked. I’m just wondering who is in that kitchen because that sandwich was made with LOVE ❤️ oh but wait there’s more. The cinnamon pancakes were a whole separate orgasmic experience in my mouth. Drool inducing little fluffy discs of goodness! My skinny little 9 year old who never eats asked for a second serving of chicken from her chicken and waffles top to bottom perfection 10/10 would recommend and eat here every day if I could

The first thing I have to say, our server was absolutely fantastic, although I don’t remember her name, if she reads the reviews she will know who she is, my son had chicken and waffles, my wife had tacos, and I had sausage biscuit combo. Like I said the service was great, my wife loved her tacos, and her mimosas. Well at least the second Mimosa, the first one was weak. And that’s where it went downhill. I understand that everything has went up in price, but unlike most companies in a service oriented position, where they combat inflation with incentives, Chicken in the Egg has decided to not do this. They have reduced to broke even in quality of their products. A sausage patty should not have a distinct signature that it either came from the same place as that nasty sausage gravy in a can or it was left close to it. Instead of selling fresh products, they have used shelf stable products, all the while increasing prices to maintain profits. You can taste it in the food. You can taste it in their alcohol drinks. You can taste it in their regular drinks. They have reduced cost to maximize profit rather than just try to feed people normal good food. My wife didn’t want me to write this review, but I had to tell you, mimosas are not worth $10+, you should make your servers remind people of your astronomically high drink prices when ordering a second one! So now, with that being said, 80$ for Chicken and Waffles, B-Tacos, and Sausage Biscuits with Hash Browns and Mimosas. I used a coupon to take it down so I could leave a larger tip because my server was fantastic, Unfortunately however, You’ve lost your way Chick In The Egg,

We stopped at Chicken ‘N the Egg on a road trip and glad we did! We were seated immediately. Our server Letisha was awesome! Our food was done quick and portions were huge. I took home half an omelet and half an order of pancakes. Would recommend the country omelet and chicken and pancakes!
