The looks of the restaurant itself were definitely small town diner.I’m going back in the summer to see what it looks like then. Our waitress said, it’s booming in the warmer temperatures
Sadly this was one of my favorite spots for breakfast but they keep changing it and you never know when they will have breakfast or wont. Here is the updated menu and our food for today’s review. The food has gone down hill. The menu leaves alot to be desired. I ended up ordering 2 eggs and home fries and sausage gravy (you have to pay individually for each item since they dont have breaksfast meals now. The sausage gravy was for my friends unlimited food because he was only ALLOWED to choose 3 items. First 3 items he got eggs, sausage, home fries. The 2 plate he got bacon, hashbrowns, sausage gravy. If you choose eggs for those 3 items it only comes scrambled just fyi. I did try his food since he was complaining it tasted off and it did. His home fries were way salter than mine. Almost unbearable to eat. And his bacon was clearly spoiled just by looking at it but i broke off the tiniest piece and gagged on the flavor. It didnt even taste like bacon which was comical to us both. My guess is so he wouldn’t order more food for the $18 but I could be wrong. Mine was ok but I didn’t express my lack of interest in their menu and I had wanted to just pay for our drinks and go else where to eat . We will just stick to ordering pizza for now on as we know that’s still good.
Total bill was around $32 , drinks we each got a pepsi

Came back for breakfast again. They revamped their menu and Sadly took away the eggs Benedict. It’s still very yummy and you get alot of food for your buck. Enough for at least 2 meals for a hungry man let alone for a me. Lol
Please bring back the eggs Benedict, you can’t find it too many places.

This is home cooked diner food and oh so yummy! It’s a little confusing on the drive in figuring out which building to go to but once you do there is plenty of seating and space. We both really liked our food and the waitresses were super nice and attentive. The plates were packed full. The eggs Benedict was a little salty but still delicious and even though I was full I didn’t want to stop. The person with me really enjoyed the country fried steak. Will definitely be back!
* there’s plenty of parking and space inside for a wheel chair. The parking lot might be a little hard to push a heavier chair but definitely manageable. *
We arrived to the restaurant at 1235 p.m. Perfect timing!! After waiting for 15 minutes or so without anyone speaking to my husband, someone finally came out of the kitchen and told him it would be another 20 minutes or so before our food would be ready.
My husband noted there were quite a few other people who seemed like they also worked there, but only one lady was doing everything. The dining room only had 2 couples eating there.
After 20 more minutes, my husband was told it would be a few more minutes. We finally got our food with no apology for the time delay or compensation for the extremely slow service. My husband paid over $35 for sub, sandwich, and a pizza.
We drove to our hotel about 15 minutes away. We literally started to eat as soon as we got to our room. We opened the containers to find only the chicken bacon ranch pizza looked even edible. All of french fries were cold & soggy. My husband’s Italian sub was ok, no mayo like he asked for. The blt sandwich was in a container with the french fries, which made the toast soggy. The tomato was mashed into the bread. The bacon was too chewy. The blt had no mayo either which he did ask for when he placed the phone order.
Between the too hot bacon that was probably placed directly on the lettuce, tomato, & bread ruined it. And the hot fries placed into the same container as the blt, ruined my lunch. My husband said the sub was dry, but otherwise ok. We feel the prices are a bit high for what we ordered.
I do not feel our 15-minute drive to the hotel had anything to do with food issues. The sandwich had to have been sitting in the containers with the hot fries the lids closed for quite some time to cool down to be cold too the touch & ruin the fries. If the food was really hot when it first came out, the food would have still been pretty warm for us. We think that some of the food like the french fries & the blt sandwich sat waiting for the pizza.
My son said the pizza was actually really good, although it was really greasy. His fingers & hands were covered with grease after each piece he ate.
I’m pretty sure the food would have been really great if we had the time & ability to eat at the restaurant. When we are back in the area, we are willing to try again, but this time, we will eat there. Although we’ve heard that the take-out is usually really good.
Thank you so much!!! We did tip the driver well!!
We stop in almost every Thursday usually for pizza & wings, and they are always fantastic! No matter the featured sauce flavor, always amazing! All of the food here is delicious and they have something for everyone, including weekly specials and also regular menu items from burgers to salads and don’t forget about the appetizers, another of our favorite “go-tos”, bonnie-sticks w/ garlic butter sauce! YUM!
What really sets this place apart is the staff. They’re extremely friendly and always welcoming. The great service is what keeps us coming back week after week, and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend!
Will be eating here again!
Skip the chains. Go get some real food at the Bonniebrook.
