If you’re searching for a hidden gem in historic Old Town Manassas, look no further than The Bone. This cozy eatery captured our hearts from the moment we stepped through the door. Even on a rainy Friday evening, the inviting ambiance and friendly staff made us feel right at home. ️❤️

This place came up as a recommendation and I thought my girlfriend and I would try it out. It was busy but we got service pretty quick. And just as soon as we sat down our order had come out. Really friendly staff and comfy atmosphere

I had not been to The Bone in a few years, and my last memories of it were very fond. Unfortunately, this time was a little bit of a downer. I got a brisket platter, cornbread, potato salad…and I think some beans? Pretty pricey, but that is most bbq places in/near NOVA. It might have been because I came in first thing, a little after 11am, but it felt like I had last night’s brisket. Dry and tough to the point that I broke my utensils on it. Not the juicy pieces I remember from a while ago. Hopefully I am in the minority here, but I can’t really recommend this place based off my last experience.

Was recommended to it, but was sorely disappointed. It is a “fast food bbq” place like Mission BBQ or CookOut. It was a Thursday at 6pm in August so outside tables were available. Very light customers but only one worker who may have been the owner. I felt he was not welcoming at all. First time there, so I did not see the chalkboard menu mounted on the wall to my left but above my head. So after the only customer ahead of us finished ordering, he just stared at me as I moved forward. My colleagues pointed out the menu behind me. I ordered 2 meats 2 sides, with tap water to drink and it was $25. My other 2 guests ordered Nachos and a tap beer and brisket with 2 sides and an old fashioned mixed drink. Our bill was $102. For eating with plastic ware, that already wasn’t worth it. We seemed to have to wait a long time but since he brought it to our table (he never said he would, so initially we just stood at the register until we saw him walk food out to the other customer). My baked beans were not American style (sweet) but more Mexican style (blackened beans in water) and coleslaw was very dry. My friends said the beer in a plastic cup was warm by time the food arrived and the other said it was by far the worst old fashioned he had ever had. My pulled pork (comes “naked”) was great, but the sweet sauce they have really just tastes like watered down Baby Rays. I was not a fan of the (also) very thin house sauce. There was no introduction on how the restaurant worked, even though I had said it was our first time there, so when we were done we didn’t know what to do with our plates. We saw another table left theirs, so since there were no trashcans, we did the same. Not worth the money. Go to the Mexican restaurant next store as they seemed to be more happy you are there.

The staff was great at putting together a nice carry out order for us and the food was amazing. It’s always nice to see when an order was correct and on time, especially for a carry out order. We got the brisket, ribs, sausage, mac and cheese and the beans. Everything was very good. The sausage was a bit spicy but the flavors were incredible. Thank you for a great first time experience. We also liked the house BBQ sauce. BBQ places can be a hit or miss around here and this place is a hit! We will be back!

The ribs were tender with sauce on the side, the way I like them. My brisket was a little dry, however my friend’s was moist and tender. I’m not a fan of sauced pork bbq, but it wasn’t bad,, my other friend loved it. The cole slaw was very good with a hint of vinegar. The collards had a touch of spice which is always nice.

I was very excited to try the pulled pork/pulled chicken, mac n cheese, and the collard greens. Unfortunately, it was a HUGE upset. NONE OF THOSE ITEMS ABSOLUTELY HAD NO FLAVOR. The pulled chicken wasn’t available also. There’s no way I would visit atleast this location again. Unfortunately the pictures fooled me. I spent over $50 and I honestly wanted a refund.
